He ALWAYS seems to go for mutalisks, which is odd because the metagame seems to be shifting more towards infestors as of late. IdrA, from what I've seen, prefers infestors as a late game transition after opening muta.
its the strongest is why. Starting infestors, and going infestors all game is strong sure but it can easily be abusable. Terran can turtle, expo, mass drop you. Very hard to stop drops and he can always threaten them if you can't threaten the medivacs with muta's.
Muta/ling/bane is stronger then ling/infestor especially if the terran decides to add in ghosts (korean players do add in ghosts alot). Thats why you don't see zergs like nestea/idra/ret start out infestors it just has a lot of weaknesses that they know about as well, muta's are also very mobile for harassment, see tech, etc.

Might as well name this the Idra DIscussion Club, judging by the number of haters who come out of the woodwork when Idra loses something.

idrA just doesn't stop disappointing. He's just not very good anymore. The top EU zergs (Stephano, Nerchio, Ret, Dimaga) are definitely better than him now imo. And yes I am a huge idrA fanboy. Going to stop watching his games until he goes back to Korea.

I only caught the last 2 games of the series, so can anyone explain to me what the incident with the broken bunker placement is about. Also the last game was alright, I'm glad he stuck in it even if he lost. I think the reason he went for the engagement there was because if he didn't heart would have been in a great position to take out idras 3rd.

?? He went 2-3 against a korean terran and he just isnt good anymore? Ret plays the exact same style of ZvT as idra (probably same style of zvp and zvz as well), and didn't nerchio get destroyed by puma in IEM?

Well, thats the downside of being a fan of the most polarizing player. As long as he's doing good, many people hate him, but that's all right cause his great play hushes them.
But as soon as he shows any weak points, they get cocky and start flaming sooo badly... I mean cmon the LR thread is just ridiculous :D On the other hand I heard barely any flame about HuK although he went 0-3 in IEM.
Just relax, guys... IdrA's gonna do great soon enough again, what's so sad about a bad phase

imo, IdrA's no gg's have helped reports. I mean, I honestly think sometimes the viewers are getting their feelings hurt when he doesn't (for what reason no one knows) which I find somewhat amusing. Can we not let IdrA be the player he is without begrudingly following the unwritten rule set that is so readily accepted in this community?

Whoa. Idra loses and for the first time in the history of the world, the last 4 pages don't have trolls?
At least there's an upside -_-

i think idra needs to start training more with huk and puma than incontrol and demuslim
idra doesn't seem like a monster when he plays anymore, he needs to fix that
moar gracken plz

Stop posting in this thread until he starts doing good too, ok?

I know this is the IdrA fan club, but I don't remind idra winning "practically any tournament" he entered.
Idra was always one of the top NA player, no doubt about that, be he never was a "foreigner Bonjwa".

I just wish IdrA stuck to Terran for starcraft 2, the race is just so much more well-rounded and rewards decision making way more than Zerg.
If you look at BW IdrA or even Ro8 GSL IdrA, he wouldn't be losing to 90% of the people he loses to now, especially if he had stuck with Terran.
One could only wish.

Until Jinro came up with macro terran that is. then he left Korea, and slowly fell down.

He was a Code S player before he came back to the U.S

I'm sure he is very sad that he disappointed you.
And guys like Stephano, Nerchio or Dimaga better than IdrA... well let's just say that's a very bold theory, and don't forget that IdrA's about to go to Korea. Pretty sure, he'll get back to his old shape fairly soon

I think we all know Idra won't be happy with his performance but good for him to get to the finals. And wow, after peaking into the thread for the teamspeak it is amazing how ridiculously negative people are.

The SC2 community likes to pretend to be super nice with the omg GG HFGL stuff, but man do they know how to put out the hate as well.

On August 21 2011 09:17 Evangelist wrote: I realize this is his fan club, but IdrA isn't "polarizing". Everyone likes to see skilled zerg play and IdrA is a pretty good one. Not the best, but he's pretty good. However, he couples his obvious skill with the game with the kind of manners that would get his teeth knocked out in most sports, and in all honesty, he isn't good enough any more to get away with his manners.
He rage quits from games he can't win, goes on tilt at the slightest provocation and when he can't win, slags either his cheesy opponent off or the game off. IdrA on tilt is like watching a car crash in slow motion, stretched out over 3-5 games, to the point where the result is a game so mismatched you wonder how he even got that far in a tournament.
Half the fun of watching IdrA is predicting his next hilarious collapse. The list of players capable of inducing an Idrocalypse is expanding with each tourney. I can't help but think that if he married his obvious skills with a better attitude, both to his opponent and to the fact that he's losing a game, he'd be far more capable of holding down tournaments and ultimately the respect of fans and players and stream watchers. I'm sure we are all thankful you took the time to write what has been said in every fucking chat, every time Idra loses, but I think I speak for everyone when I say: Go fuck yourself
