But as TL grows, the lurkers come out, and even I can't keep pace with this thread. When I requested to be banned for a month, the thread literally doubled. But that doubling wasn't necessarily the best. To be honest, I've cut down on the posting in here, simply because I can't keep up anymore. But up until recently, I will admit that I haven't been posting the best material in here either. It seems like I try to talk some sense into fanboys, but at times it gets frustrating when they just don't care for what you have to say. So I've pretty much given up at that, and from now on, I'll try my best to set a good example for posters in here. MrHoon is right. This is the Korean Music Discussion thread, not your own blog. There are a lot of images and stuff that can be compiled into one, that really doesn't need to be posted. And yes, if you like something, you should try to add some substance into it. One liners don't contribute to discussion. If you don't like someone else's opinion, you can counter refute it, but in the end of the day, try to keep things civil. You can bash the artists, do whatever. But do respect others' opinions (which I have to adhere to as well). I know there are a lot of new people in here, and you're all welcome to post. But for TL's sake, and for this thread's sake, let's try to keep it to discussion. Remember that we're all in the same boat here. Let's not turn into ELFS vs SONEs here. When posting a link, let's try to write something of substance instead of simply linking and saying what the title says. Encourage discussion and opinions is what we're here to do. | ||

btw i can't speak for GTR but i absolutely read 100% of every post on here (including all the crap) and my finger has reached for the ban button several times but i've held back because i'm a softie lol. i'm sure GTR has had similar experiences. i intend to give out warnings more liberally from now on. also keep in mind that i don't give a crap if you're a veteran. if you write a crappy post i'm going to warn you. what exactly do warnings do? nothing immediately, really. it's just a formal reprimand. however in the future if you make a borderline ban-worthy post, your mod notes have a history of all your previous warnings and bans and mods are more likely to ban you than not if you have a history of getting warned multiple times. i'm not going to make stupid soompi rules like no artist bashing. we aren't in elementary school. but if you're going to bash an artist you had better make sure it's funny, creative, or well thought out. also just as a general rule if you're going to post pictures please spoiler them. if you just have 1 small or medium sized picture it isn't a problem to post it normally but if you're going to post up multiple pictures or a large one please make sure you spoiler it. | ||
