T-ara had always done well in the digital department but they also had one of the bigger female fandoms out there (top 3 in the past? off the top of my head idk, f(x) was #2 among girl groups by far in 2013 I think, probably A-Pink #3 but 2012 and before I feel like T-ara might have always been top 3 or 4). They definitely have fallen since their incident but they still are able to go strong. Number 9 was a great song and it did better digitally than I expected even despite their issues. Another thing of note, many people consider Sistar to be among the strongest (top 3 or 4) of girl groups at the moment, but as far as I know T-ara N4's mini-album outsold Sistar's full album in 2013, which is kinda crazy when you think about it.

I don't think T-ara has dropped as much as some music insider people think. You often see those rankings made by people in the industry and I feel like T-ara is way too low. Maybe they don't wanna support T-ara in case it tarnishes their own reputation by praising them I dunno. For fun I checked Nine Muses album sales since they were ranked in the 4:th tier here: http://www.allkpop.com/article/2014/02/sports-chosun-reveal-their-2014-girl-group-ranking and T-ara is in the 5:th tier according to this. Nine Muses latest album Wild sold 5600 copies... T-ara sold 41000 copies. Those rankings are just way off in my opinion but it probably creates some "general consensus" among fans while they probably aren't correct which gives the illusion that T-ara is doing worse than they really are. Seriously they placed T-ara with the dead group Wonder Girls, Ladie's Code, AoA and Hello Venus. Let's get real here those are super nugus compared to T-ara. Another fun example to show the retardness: Sistar is in the 1:st tier ranking and their "Give It To Me" album sold 39000 copies. Which was released just a few months before T-ara's was. Just checking really quick all the top groups the only ones outselling T-ara(might have missed someone) are SNSD, 2NE1 and f(x). Yet the rankings are totally different. I know the rankings aren't solely based off number of albums sold but rankings like this one is what most fans base their thoughts on when they discuss popularity. @Hall0wed: T-ara's N4 outsold a lot of stuff Check here just scroll down to 2013: http://onehallyu.com/index.php?/topic/11780-gaon-chart-physical-sales-all-time-female-groupssoloists-updated-april-2014/Also note the grand total list after 2014 ^_^

I would expect that T-ara's appearances (at least in Korea) have taken a hit, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're still well ahead of most groups in the other categories.

The Kara name is nowhere where it used to be but it's still better than trying to debut a new girl group again.

their releases were generally better following their hiatus, and that's all I really care about.
