As for all the posts in this thread for the past few pages denouncing Sunye for this decision based on little to no actual knowledge or understanding of what's going on and way too much on pure speculation and assumption, good job for sounding like the average misinformed and ridiculous kpop fan you find commenting on sites like Allkpop. I would say that it was disappointing, but it wasn't really.

If someone comes anywhere near me with some gospel I'll swear at them with my dying breath. Help them build and gain self sufficiency but the only thing going down their throats should be food, medicine and clean water, not ideology. edit: Sorry to derail further but it's the sort of thing that bugs me. Really excited about the Yoonji comeback, she deserves much more attention than she gets in Korea. User was warned for this post

Find the albums Oh! and the First Japanese Album, good places to start. Their later albums can be hit or miss for some people, but I like them. Below are some good selections for you from said albums. They're kind of the "SNSD Starter Albums", with their popular stuff. + Show Spoiler + Then, moving on, I'll give some personal likes, that have a sound you might enjoy. f(x) is SNSD's "little sister" group, they have a somewhat similar style but different: + Show Spoiler + GLAM is very talented and has good music: + Show Spoiler + Ladies Code is a newcomer who have amazing vocals: + Show Spoiler + Fiestar's debut song was HOLY SHIT SO GOOD + Show Spoiler + Tell me what you like/don't like!

It's so stupid to take offense on behalf of other people when they're not even offended in the first place. The fact that there's been no backlash from JYP or anyone else actually affected by this decision shows that everyone is on board and supportive of this decision. I would say that it was disappointing, but it wasn't really. this is so laughably self righteous. I feel it was more like a reaction to her ridiculously optimistic soliloquy about lending personal assistance to a disaster zone because she felt that she didn't do 'her duty' in a religious context can you even grasp how ridiculous her statement sounds? "alright boys im off to haiti to help do helpful stuff that will somehow assist a third world disaster zone recover. I signed this contract with a Korean media corporation halfway around the world to do promotions in this third world country that's gonna somehow make me bank to continue my efforts. oh btw this new kid I have is going to spend some of her most important early years growing up in some third world country without an adequate education." I mean I put it in a rather scathing, exaggerated connotation but given her awful press release, how do you think a Anyhow it's great that she wants to help people but I still think it's incredibly irresponsible of her to do something like this. I feel if she really wanted to help she would've donated any of her idol proceeds to fund a microlending company or fund a carpentry program that would help the unemployed in Haiti build homes. This is stuff that actually makes sense for all parties involved and it's ideas I spewed out in the last 10 seconds. I simply cannot see her random NGO make a lasting impact when countless of others have failed.
