Like all the big girl groups these days are just swimming in cash I have no doubt. Wasn't it Goo Hara who bought some super fancy place in Gangnam a couple of months back?
On the other hand you can work your ass off and not get anywhere then what? Groups like Chocolate, EXID, GLAM, Hello Venus, Nine Muses, Rania, Spica etc etc hurts to say it cause I like them all but they aren't gonna get anywhere and how long have some of them been trying? Nine Muses for example debuted in 2010. That's 3 years of constant work and they can't even land on a decent chart position. Their latest single peaked at 24 and I would bet that they released it when it wasn't that much competition. I hope these people have something to land on after it's over. Or they can probably marry rich
EXID's new aren't they? They've only had 2 releases. Chocolate is nearly brand new too. Not sure I agree with these examples.
EXID debuted on february 12:th 2012... Chocolate in 2011... How is that brand new? They released a bunch of stuff and then took like a year break because one of the members got sick or something and it seems like they are on another year break after they released Black Tinkerbell. Just no consistency to releases, just drops a song/minialbum whenever and that's why they won't get anywhere.
Star power-wise, Loen would have been lucky to have been graded A class. Of their assets only IU had any weight behind her, marketability and awards. Sunny Hill, the only other noteable asset in their stable, has no awards except maybe for 두근두근, and show-wise only hit top three once, top five maybe six times. Fiestar and History, with really charitable show ranking systems, at best hit top twenty a handful of times and are pretty much unknown. Joosuc left after only a year. Zia is Zia.
Starship Entertainment had a better chance at being classified as S Class, with Sistar and KWill under tow. But the caliber of artists are meaningless compared to revenue of the company that owns them.
Seriously though, fuck ShitKT. Flex all you want, Loen's properties is still half nugu.

Since then, dsp has been denying her from like everything besides activities exclusively associated with kara. Like when is the last time you've ever seen Nicole do anything solo? DSP has just been waiting for her contract to be up so they can kick her to the curb. You'll never know if she's actually getting blacklisted like JYJ or if she's actually quitting to go to school but I honestly doubt she has the talent to make it in another company anyways.
What...nicole is like the most talented in Kara. What if she went in Wonder Girls to replace Sunye OMG. What if Sunmi joined too that would be awesome.
That's not saying much. Kara doesn't have any standouts. They're all more or less decent looking, decent dancers, and decent singers. None of them are great at anything. None of them can make a career out of going solo.
Their best shot would be to ride their popularity of formerly-Kara for maybe a few years (1-3) in Korea, save whatever they can get, and then retire. Maybe try to get some non-singing gigs.
Going to America, especially a solo artist, is such a hilariously bad idea. Korea really doesn't learn.
i agree, nicole solo in america will be really bad dont know why they think its a good idea O.o btw, whats up with exid anway. anyone knows if they come up with something this year, kinda miss hani :x
LOEN isn't your typical agency. They're foremost a distribution network/company, which is their primary source of income, and also the reason why they feature content of so many artists from other companies on their youtube channel.
The fact that they distribute music for other companies too, might confuse some into thinking that they have a lot of big artists, but they don't. They basically only have a few kpop artists directly under their belt, if I recall correctly: IU, Sunny Hill, History and Fiestar. Definitely not a line-up that is comparable to "Tier S" companies, aka the big three.
LOEN only became a music label in 2012, so they're actually very new, but they have a very large capital force behind them, resulting in things like buying the majority of Starship Ent, making it a subsidiary company of Loen. I think they're far from 'Tier S', more like lower Tier A with only 4 artists. Adding Sistar from Starship Ent. to the list solidifies that Tier A spot.
With their capital force, connections, etc. they're definitely a force to consider in the future as they grow, and have the most potential in the Kpop industry to become the next Tier S company... if you're into stocks, they're probably worth investing in. Just don't forget that their stocks drop heavily every time Hyuna touches IU, and IU gets tainted more and more...
Speaking of Hyuna, if there's any music agency that currently comes the closest to Tier S, it's probably Cube Ent. in my opinion, with artists like 4minute, A Pink, Beast, Huh Gak, Rain, ...
