My name is Jei. My birth name is Kim Jin Hee. Because the letter J went into my English name, I’ve been called Jei since I was a high school student.
1989 September 5th is when I was born.
I was the female lead in Infinite’s ‘Paradise’ music video. While I was filming, I was so stressed that I failed at becoming close acquaintances with Infinite sunbaenim*. Sigh. Still, they shout “Hwaiting!” when they pass me by. Do they remember me? If I meet them later in the waiting room, I will make sure to greet them.
My original dream was to be a veterinarian. It was because I really love animals. Hehe. But my company saw the photos I uploaded on my personal homepage so they called me, and I became a part of FIESTAR.
I learned how to dance and sing for the first time. Before that, I never had any experience in the two things. While following the teachers around, I worked hard learning and practiced even more. I didn’t want to embarrass myself and I wanted to debut showing everyone a good self, but the biggest reason was that I didn’t want to become a hindrance to the other friends.
In the beginning, the 6 of us shared a room at our dorm. Because the 6 of us were gathered like that, it felt like we were on an overnight trip so I felt really happy. Right now, we moved our dorm so we have two people per room, but I sometimes miss the past.
As the leader, in order to have a fair dorm life, whenever we need to choose an order or decide on something, we used ‘rock paper scissors’ to decide! Even the placement of our beds and the distribution of our chores. I think it would be good to change the person in charge of chores every 3~4 months, so we use ‘rock paper scissors’ to decide that. At our dorm, the leader isn’t me but ‘rock paper scissors’! Haha.
Because they keep eating at night, the members are very noisy. Because we’re always hungry at night, we don’t starve ourselves but we…eat. We cook in order to prepare big meals. But I think we’re the type that doesn’t gain weight easily. (Cao Lu: She doesn’t gain weight. At first, she said she doesn’t take care of her figure so I was like “What a lie”, but she really doesn’t gain weight even when she eats. I’m jealous…) The members say the smell of ramen and stew bothers them, so I eat in my room these days. These days my roommate Linzy is bothered by it. Hahah. Sorry Linzy.
When I was young, I blindly bought a dog. I really wanted to raise it. Right now, my parents are taking care of it. I named it ‘Love’. While living with my parents, it somehow became ‘Boksun’ instead… I guess they didn’t really like ‘Love’. When its name was ‘Love’ it really was pretty like its name ‘Love’, but now that it has gotten bigger, it really became like ‘Boksun’.
If I were to do individual promotions, I would like to do <Animal Farm>. I really like doing things with animals. I want to do help animals like Lee Hyori sunbaenim*, and I think I would feel happy if I could shoot photoshoots with animals too.
