Top idol groups make a lot, groups like JYJ/SNSD/Big Bang are raking in a lot of money. It's a huge drop off after the top 15 groups, though.

Anyway was banned(no idea why lol) when the EXID album came out. Gotta say it was really good. I had Whoz that Girl and I Do in my playlist from them previously but like almost all the new songs on their new album was worthy to get plays. Even the MV was good. Maybe I should learn their names ^^ Seem to be a group to keep an eye on.

The actual most of the money made, is mostly determined by individual 2ndry income, like endorsements, acting, and what not. the money made from being in the group is only a part of their over all income.

Money that comes from the companies isn't that much. Idols only get paid okay from endorsement deals. Dramas pay also pretty okay but not that much.

Yeah... with couple millions I don't think it's worth to start renting private jets. Only big stars fly with private jets and we are talking about people who earn about 50M and more. And anyway the private jet thing is mostly for companies which rack hundreds of millions a year.
Yoona is the rare exception the case. We were originally talking about 2ne1~, and the overall "kpop idol" scene. I don't even think Taeyon even makes a fifth of what yoona makes....

Supposedly she's a godsend in endorsements... I remember reading an All-Kpop article about it, although its just one example.

I didn't mention anything about them paying for it. I know they don't make much money, but I thought they'd at least have some benefits from their companies. Especially since they're 2NE1 and are such a popular group.

Well even though all of us take Yoona for granted now I'm sure that with alot of us (I know I did) immediately saw Yoona first. We dont get to love dorky Taeyeon or chic Jessica until we've been hooked and reeled in by deer Yoona.
I remember one of the first times I saw SNSD, and the camera was all over her....
