ever since i fell for metallica and megadeth i was enthralled by their capabilities on guitar. I learnt every song by memory and on guitar i could play maybe 50 of them? I played a lot with my friend, we had jam seshes and it was fun ( he has a girlfriend now but thats not the point) From there I went into more guitar, van halen and led zeppelin and pink floyyd and jeff buckley(still my fav singer of all time) and from here i went to jazz/blues (loved chick corea 'spain') then I went to opera for some reason, and memorised like 4 or 5 symphonies by beethoven (is that how you spell it?) I got into starcraft because i liked rts, and it was a good game(zerg imba lol , its okay i play Z as my main race) the way i got better was looking at korean streams, and i was captivated by the music they were playing all the time. Well, i didnt really know what it was back then, and it was really crazy, so yeh. But the first time i was ever exposed to a memorable kpop song was the GSL!!! cant remember what open season it was but rainbow was playing 'to me' and i was hooked, both by the catch song and the absolutely beautiful women...i did find it really weird... I questioned...what the hell am i doing watching this stuff? its in a language i cant understand T_T but i loved the MV and the creativity put into it. So the second day i watched the MV on the internet....and saw another one......it was called 'love like this' by SS501 I played it....and i couldn't believe it. The amazing catchiness of the song and the amazing dance moves....I still cant believe i did this but i stayed up till about 4 or 5 am watching the same fricken MV!!! how is that even possible! I must have watched it 20 or more times in that one night... the next day i awoke and it felt like a dream...like i really didnt do anything. I looked up the MV and there it was, the dance moves and the voices in all of its glory. I couldnt believe that i was hearing it again, but this time consciously in broad daylight...my first love for kpop ever ever. From there SS dudes were my fav by far, and i memorised Kim Hyung Joon!! he was so sexy...and i questioned myself...why do i find a guy sexy? Is it because everyone says he is? was i gay? i couldnt really tell, but he was a good guy. Then i watched interviews and it really expanded their personalities. I soon realized korean personalities were so amazing on talk shows, and watched a lot of english dub ones..... lol still remember my fav one i ever watched T_T so cool love these two + Show Spoiler + from there i loved korean people, and watched every MV i could. Cant remember how it happened but i found youtube downloader, and downloaded a lot a lot of songs....and right now to this day it stands at 273 songs...every single one i personally downloaded from youtube, and have saved the MV and everything. I found a korean at my school and asked him if he liked kpop,...he laughed at my face and told me i was gay... this was a big moment for me, how could a korean dislike his own music? Twas a good question, but I soon found out other girls loved kpop, but they were chinese/japanese etc. So i do share my experiences with them but not that much, because i think i love kpop more and listen to it more.... the moment i realised kpop will never leave me was when i looked into TVXQ. I already knew their recent songs, keep your head down and before u go. Before u go was my favourite kpop song of all time, and so i researched them more. What i found was amazing....the back story to the whole group and the troubles they went through....but the most important was the music imo. I loved every single song, and they became my fav kpop band ever. Everytime i have a shower i bring my portable speaker in and turn up kpop on shuffle, and scream to every song. I have my alarm wake me up by kpop in the morning, and love listening to what song it chooses.. I have realised that (due to this being the holidays i can do this) i have my headphones on about 13-16 hours a day....so that is really how much i listen to kpop. I know its bad for my ears, but i already have permanent damage from megadeth days lol (i have chronic tinnitus, like a constant ringing in your ears) so i can deal with it and this may sound crazy, but sometimes when im home alone i play kpop songs and they give me so much energy i jump up onto the tables, run around the house crazy (like rain hip song, or u-kiss neverland, etc love those songs) and it makes me feel crazy I dont even know what the hell they are saying but just knowing who sings them and hearing the amazing tone and beats drives me crazy sometimes.... and now im watching the Tara MV for like the 5th time, it s amazing and i love it so much... I love all of kpop, and have tried to convince my friends as well.. LOL TODAY even as i was at my parties at BOTH , the first one i asked 3 girls if they knew what kpop was, and the second one i showed a girl 'sexy free and single' to show her where i get my dance moves from lol...she was so fuckin frreaaked after that but i didnt give a shit....well i did sort of but that doesnt matter... the main thing was that i showed her and about 3 other people the MV and i was dancing to it as well, i loved it. I love dancing to suju and any kpop band, their dance moves are legendary...that is seriously where i get my dance moves for parties...they have helped me so much lol and the best thing about kpop is it gives me role models. When i feel like quitting homework after an hour of study, i just realised that jiyeon (i think thats it ) hasnt seen her family for 4 years because of how hard she works. Also, this super junior guy sewed the company for not giving him a day off in 2 years, and TVXQ sewed for a 13 year contract which was outrageously long....these guys are the most amazing people i have ever seen, and i have yet to see anyone work harder than they do 'except mighty atom, he is a very hard worker and is going through tough times with surgery atm, wish him well <3 ; now i love kpop and listen to it every day for about 10 hours.....love the characters it creates, and the beats it makes, and the choreography...not to say its only kpop, i am still sooooooooo impressed with spring of life by perfume, absolutely perfect song.... But as long as i have kpop it motivates me...anytime i feel like a lazy shit i put any of my 273 tracks on and i get motivated, because i see the world through the idols eyes..... Korean pop,,,, 5 years ago i would have laughed if i told myself i would be listening to generic pop created by people overseas...but now its my life... dont know why really, but i listen to it every second i can and the best part is it is continually growing. Every other music experience i have had has been forgotten in the past (led zepp, jimi hendrix etc all had their best work in the past) but the best thing about kpop is it continually expands and grows and only gets better,... I just hope i one day find someone in real life that loves kpop as much as i do....but for now i will talk to you guys so,,,,, wassup yo EDDIT : i gonna throw up so i go to sleep now tT_T why i drink so much

EDIT: And I think everyone has had a similar gateway into kpop but you can be passionate about it and enjoy it without sounding like a peppy sugar high 13 year old girl.
