- When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
- No reposting of old material unless justified
- Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
- No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
- Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
- No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.

You could probably record a trainwreck, autotune it and it'd still sound better than Yayaya And the fact that they re-released it in Japan just further suggests that CCM has no clue what they're doing Not sure how a JP re-release shows they don't know what they're doing. If anything it's a perfect song for Japan. Have you heard the trashy crap that J-Pop consists of? (Other JP music is fine, Jpop is just terrible though). How could you possibly think this is bad music ?

Then why so sad? As non-sensical as it is it still puts a smile on your face ^^

While always suspicious of jpop, that first video was absurdly awesome.

this thread moves way too quickly. i just read through 600 unread posts.
here's my opinion on recent comebacks. i feel like i am pretty objective when it comes to judging kpop.
younha: good, i've been waiting for a good comeback from her forever. love peace and ice cream was just a terrible jackson 5 cover.
2ne1: bad... worse than expected actually and i don't even like 2ne1 so i had pretty low expectations.
t-ara: new member is actually decent and fits in with the overall group image. both songs they performed on the comebacks are good, although i think Don't Leave is the stronger track overall, but Day by Day is more catchy and therefore was designated the title song. definitely not their worst comeback. the worst by far was yayaya. i would say musically the songs are better than Cry Cry but the choreography is very lackluster, especially the chorus. it's too awkward looking of a movement to have everyone do in unison 5 different times during a 3 minute performance.
suju: these guys have been pretty bad for a while. pretty much everything after the Sorry Sorry album has been either rehash of the same song or just mediocre releases in general. kangin is back so that's exciting (he used to be one of my favorite members back in the day) but he still looks chubby for a kpop idol. lay off the beer for just 3 months bro. i guess it's good for shindong though because now there is someone between him and the rest of the group, weight-wise.
i don't like f(x), but for some reason i can't get enough of Electric Shock lol.
after school Flashback is not a very good song either but for some reason i can't stop listening to it either. curious, indeed. oh, and lizzy definitely jumped up into my top 5 kpop idol list. sucks that they probably won't win a #1 for this now that 2ne1 and suju are back. oh, and the new member just looks awkward... something about her eyes bother me, like a downgraded version of sohee lol.

Lizzy is the one idol that looks far better as a blond. With others it either looks worse or no real difference.
|
She looks horrendous as a blond.
|
New as member looking like downgraded version of sohee LOL so true
|
In the first pic we saw of her, she reminded me of Subin from whatever group she is from. Dal Shitbert, google says.
Lizzy is lovely, but I am an OC fantard. There are better looking girls in kpop.
|
Lizzy looks good as a blonde but I like blonde Jessica the best. This thread has been moving very fast lately.

Nothing wrong with Japanese music, I'm sure 80% of us have watched/watches anime. We've all at one point ventured that direction of music. No?
edit* oh that was irrelevant :p Lizzy improved alot indeed.

Oh god yea i i knew that was pon.
I should join in the tara conversation but in dont really care to seeing as i only got into kpop when they were promoting yayaya...
By the way how much does being leader actually matter? Like when they rotatwd from soyeon to hyomin... Did hyomin justget more pull during the costume design of lollypolly?
|
As far as I can tell it matters more in some groups than in others, and in T-ara not at all.

Kangin coming back was really exciting to me also, I think kpop is kinda shallow most times and not so real ... so when someone like Kangin who had some troubles and went though the military, then being able to come back is a great story in my opinion.
also, i dont know who writes T-ara's songs but they have been getting lazy ... day by day is kinda odd for them, didnt fit at all.
