Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.

Well I'm sure it has to be an addiction or obsession... somehow... What would you do with like 500GB of perfs or like 100GB of HD pics? Eh... well you can say it's a habit... I know my brother likes to save CS 1.6 movies back in the day and just kept 'em all. I guess it'd be an addiction/obsession if you actually looked through those perfs often.
Obsession was already defined, it goes way beyond simply collecting and it isn't healthy for you. Addiction is more of a physical thing, you become dependent on the something.
There is nothing wrong with collecting videos or photos, tons of people do this simply because of their strong liking (passion) for the person / group / thing. Most people do it, people want to remember these moments / experiences / whatever.

I giggled. But I do think there's a difference between having an interest in something constructive and having an obsession with a cute Korean girl.
Procreating is constructive. Like I said we are just animals. And I think everyone in this thread would agree that cute Korean girls have some special gene that evolution wants out of them.
edit: and you said there is a difference between an interest and an obsession. try reading it this way

Do you feel your feelings towards your "bias", favorite Idol or favorite group are obsessives? Would you consider it an obsession and/or an addiction? Maybe you would rather categorize it as a passion? Do you think it's a unhealthy passion/obsession?
I made IU my desktop background for a month and the opinions of my friends ranged from "thats a little creepy" to "she's cute" to a guy who already had IU as his background in sc2 (who obviously thinks it a okay).
so no, no, no, no, but perfectly normal people said having a desktop background of a girl was a little creepy. Take what you have of it.

Yeah but no one's actually having sex or (I hope) deluding themselves to think their interest, however strong, in kpop will lead to sex.
Either way I don't think that blaming your obsession or whatever on "genetics" or personality means that it doesn't carry the same stigma or it's ok for you because that's "how you are" or something. And I don't know if it's genes or plastic but w/e.
But in all seriousness I think it can be an obsession to the point of being unhealthy. Like anything you need self discipline, and for most I really think its a phase that comes and goes. I do think that to much fantasizing about these girls do throw our image of women ascew because of how over the top attractive they are. I think if I was fluent in korean I would not be so attracted to them, because I would realize how fake they act. But for the time being I will be blinded by subtitles.
I tend to switch to different genres of music and listen to it for 3-4 months straight. Then I switch to another genre when i get tired of that genre. Its a everlasting cycle!!!!!

Interesting. GF doesn't care what my background is. Other people who see it gets sparked by a little interest, asking who that is, etc. Never any negative comments about it. Family...not quite sure about that. We'll see how they react when my photobook arrives...

Not quite sure how genes came into this and how you would want something from those genes. Simply put...it's attraction. For a normal person, aren't you attracted to cute animals, pretty paintings, cute girls, pretty clothes? No? Unless you are a messed up serial killer, then that's another story.

He brought it up, not me.
And that's not what I was contesting at all. The point was about obsession, not general attraction.

Well attraction is based on genetics, its a a matter of benefiting the human race. Not that being Korean has anything to do with it. But it is easy to become passionate about the opposite sex when they are really attractive. Maybe that is why kpop fans tend to be so "obsessive". But I think its more than just that, the artists are (usually) good singers and talented dancers. So they are over the top stimulating and entertaining. And if hormones and other chemicals are released then it might even become a full on addiction, such as sex addiction.

Fuck yeah SM Town LA. I think we all know I'll be there lol. SM Town NYC was amazing, can't wait to see what they have planned for this new world tour. Plus, Sherlock live. F yeah.
Do you feel your feelings towards your "bias", favorite Idol or favorite group are obsessives? Probably
Would you consider it an obsession and/or an addiction? More of an obsession
Maybe you would rather categorize it as a passion? I think the passion is more for Korea in general.
Do you think it's a unhealthy passion/obsession? In some ways, yes, other ways, no. I've learned a lot of new things because of my interest in SNSD and Korea. Hell, I can hold conversations in Korean, and I've visited the country because of SNSD. I learned about photography and rediscovered my passion for writing, something I gave up a long time ago.
On the other hand, the path that I was on before I found out about K-Pop and Korea in general has completely fallen apart. Have I just discovered that I wasn't really happy before? I think it has opened my eyes to a wider world, whereas before I was just set on a pretty boring life path. I guess you could say it was unhealthy because things aren't as stable now, but I've also gained so much that it has made my life not necessarily better, but different. I never would have gone to Korea or learned the language were it not for SNSD.

Also 4minute have done promo shoots like that before, doesn't mean the song will reflect that.
