Lolwtf? The traditional korea that you speak of is declining has always been declining and will die off soon enough.
Nowadays korean parents dont give a damn about the traditions. They are realising that sky uni isnt gonna guarantee success like they thought it would. This shouldnt be in this thread so ill stop here.

That's the point! The traditional foundations are crumbling by the seconds and it's now their chance to rise up and seize control of the masses while they're scattered and confused in the search of something to believe and trust in. Political propaganda.

You realize that his interpretation isn't entirely serious right?

Have you guys listened to your local radio stations lately? This is what fits in America. You're all used to listening to K-POP. The Boys ISNT k-pop. Just looks like it.
what he said at least they dont set fire to the rain or partying on friday .....
(life is a mistery is pretty bad though)
as for the performance, decent. you can tell that only 3 people sing and the other lipsynced and Regis pants on the end is priceless

It's a long-winded message which says who cares what the lyrics mean? I'm not the composer so they mean whatever the shit I want them to mean. You can interpret any song to be about anything if you try hard enough
Edit: A lot of the English music I listen to is even more lyrically ambiguous but in an awesome way, rather than a pop-style brain-melting way which in a way is part of the fun of the songs

The song is actually downright dirty. Saying that The Boys has some feminist message is like saying Bubble Pop has no sexual connotations at all, especially when paired with the dance...
oh fuck yeah, i am off posting on the phone and back on the computer. It kinda feels like taking a piss after holding for many hours. Man i was gonna post some idol pics for the pagetopping but i forgot who it was gonna be.
Demizzle, sex is looked down on by koreans because they choose to look down on it, not because they are forced to. Saying looked down on is abit of an exaggeration tbh. They just think there is a time and place for everything, unlike the americans. And your idea of feminist movement is out of sync with what the koreans have in mind.
Now lets never speak of this matter again. The thought of a pop band having meaningful songs is hurting my head.

Not necessarily. My so called 'interpretation' was a hypothetical situation that pans out in using sex to attain power. It's a feminist movement in the sense that it's women attempting to assert domination over men, not necessarily a traditional women's rights movement. Marilyn Monroe knew that sex sold and she used that to gain popularity and status. Works both ways.
