The whole music is universal angle didnt fly with any of them, they were just like why the fuck would you listen when you cant understand a thing and you have so much better music that you can actually understand. So Im kinda confused how I got so passionate over this and whether I will grow out of it or should try and force myself out of it because It does kinda seem wierd. I speak no korean and yet spend so much time on k-pop and the variety shows. Anyone else non asian feeling confused or ashamed of liking k-pop
I have at least 10 of my closest friends listening to it now. Maybe it just depends on your friends and how you present it to them.

I speak no korean and yet spend so much time on k-pop and the variety shows. Anyone else non asian feeling confused or ashamed of liking k-pop My take on this is that being infuated with something is always a great experience and is something you will miss when you get older. When I was 15 I was a die-hard Nirvana fan, then later I was a die-hard Quake 3 fan and so on but as I grew older it the passion grew weaker and now I'm not a die-hard fan of anything, not even Starcraft. I'm not saying life gets worse as you get older, it's just that thrilling passion, that fire that flickers and fades eventually, will turn into something deeper, but steadier and calmer. That's also how it goes with love. So what I want to say it is, enjoy it while it lasts, it's a great experience and it's just fun to be a hardcore fan of something, regardless of what it is. At the same time you got to know that others will not be able to understand. Being an extreme fan of something will always look weird to bystanders who have no connection whatsoever to what you are a fan of. And it's not them being assholes, it's you being stupid to expect them to be neutral about or even like it. Just look for others with the same interest, enjoy the fanboism and move on when you're done with it. I think it's an important experience and it doesn't even matter what you are a fan of. edit: btw I think you're weird, because you watch variety shows without understanding them, but why would you give a fuk.
When you put it like that it kind of sounds depressing cause I really like K-pop and dont want to stop but it be fucked up if like once im in my thirties I still look forward to 17-18 year old Korean girls performing. So I guess you right eventually I'll grow out of it. Also the variety show thing would be totally weird but I only watch the once with English subs. On another note I just got to 75% of monthly usage for the 3rd straight month and used to never get it before, only since I started watching live streams and k-pop a few months ago. I went over my 60GB capacity and got charged close to $20 dollars extra last month. Theres 5 days left in the month so I should be safe for this month.

Bandwidth caps, terrible. Even though my ISP is very inconsistent(Suppose to get 15/2, at peak night hours 2/2 if Im lucky and terrible latency), they dont enforce a cap yet.

If you want to get people "into" Kpop then it has to relate what genre of music they like. For example (actually happened), I have a ton of friends who are into rap and I asked them how they felt about foreign rap and they said that they are cool with it as long as the lyrics are provided to understand what they are rapping. Of course, I recommended Epik High, and they loved it. They thought it was cool how Tablo went to Stanford to major in English, and how Epik High has some English songs.
I'm not really into Kpop like you guys since I only listen to Big Bang (liked them more back in the more hip hop age though), Tae Yang (his solo stuff), Epik High, and 2PM (liked their old stuff way more...). Although I only listen to those artists, I still am up to date with some Kpop stuff since I have a lot of Korean friends or non-Koreans who are into it. Not to mention some of the news feed on Facebook has a ton of Kpop/Asian music related statuses whenever I log on.

That's because Toronto is gay and Rogers and Bell rules over all of it...........I hate caps so much -____-

Their services are so intermittent and overpriced, but if you live in relatively newly developed areas like me there's no other choice. My 60GB limit is terrible, have to always opt for LQ versions of shows even when HQ versions are made widely available.

Try calling em up and saying that it's too expensive and thinking of switching. Most often, they'll give you a 6 month rebate of 30%, worked for some of my friends.
