Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

lol it's true. I got Taeng and Sunny, guess who are my favorites... It's fun though, when you get those matchups that are a really hard choice haha. How am I supposed to choose between Victoria and Eunjung?
Wasn't there a similar quiz that was here like a couple of week ago when you only saw a small part of the face and there were no names included either. That one would be way more interesting to see the result from because if you get a full picture including name biases will win.
1. They are the longest running K-Pop group in history.
Shinhwa debuted in March 24, 1998 and will be making their comeback on their 14th year anniversary, March 24, 2012. Try naming another K-Pop group that has a 10th anniversary concert album
2. The group still consists of all 6 original members.
Debut album, 1998. CW from top left: Eric, Hyesung, Minwoo, Dongwan, Junjin, Andy
9th album, 2008. CW from top left: Minwoo, Eric, Dongwan, Junjin, Hyesung, Andy
3. Shinhwa successfully gave SM the finger and left the company as one cohesive unit. Bonus points for managing to retain their name after winning their lawsuit.
In 2003 SM Entertainment's 5-year contract with Shinhwa ended, thus allowing the band to either sign another contract or switch label. Lee Soo Man, the head of SM Entertainment, only wanted to sign on Eric and Minwoo, but due to his offer, they both rejected. The two wanted to stick with the group as Shinhwa and not go solo. The band rejected the offer and switched over to the fairly new management at the time, Good Entertainment. The movement sparked controversy when Lee denied their permission to use the name Shinhwa with the different company. However, after the argument was taken to court, Shinhwa won, allowing them to still use the name "Shinhwa."
Every single one of their albums has sold over 100,000 copies.
5. They choreograph their own dances. They are one of the few (maybe only group left?) that choreographs their own stuff. Boybands from the 90s like HOT and Sechs Kies choreographed all of their own stuff, too. A lost art form, imo.
Twinkling of Paradise (TOP), 2nd album, 1999
Random program appearance, 1998
6. They are not emaciated girly-men. They are manly-men.
7. Awesome hairstyles and concepts.
Dat 90s K-Pop hair (photo is actually from 2000 lol)
Dongwan during "YO!" promotions, 2nd album, 1999
8. Variety in their music styles.
All Your Dreams, 3rd album, 2000
Wild Eyes, 4th album, 2001
중독 (Deep Sorrow), 6th album, 2002
Brand New, 7th album, 2004
9. Shinhwa is one of the founders of the hallyu wave.
Performance of Hero in Japan, SM Town Summer Album, 2002
10. It's been 4 years since their last public performance as a group. This was right before they entered their military service, one by one. All of them have now finished their military duties.
Another impressive thing about Shinhwa is that all of them have had a large amount of success on their own. All of them, except for Eric, have had significant success as solo music artists, while Eric has done very well as an actor.

I remember liking their 7th album quite a bit.
yup, definitely true about their individual successes. i have no doubt eric would have been popular as a solo rapper as well though. he never actually made his own album, but if you look around he's featured in so many other popular artists' tracks.

Lol wish I could say the same about myself. At one point it was Jessica vs Victoria and Shinee's Noona Neomu Yeoppa came on simultaneously. Didn't stop Jessica from winning though.
An online community board polled 3,401 users with the question, “Who was the best new female singer(s) of the year 2011?” In the end, Dal Shabet received the most votes.
I'm hoping this was just a result of margin of error due to low sample size / polling bias...

Or a major screw up that A Pink wasn't even in the voting

They probably polled the people on the Dal Shabet fan site.
Supa Dupa Diba was good, the rest of their songs were terrible. I honestly don't know why they won lol...I'd pick A Pink but even then there's other groups that are better than Dal Shabet.
