You've just forced me to listen to the whole thing. I'll be back with a review in an hour or so

But you need this bouncebounce.

the boys confirmed for worst song of the album.
surprisingly everything else seems fine
|
Wow. That new snsd was terrible. It would have been decent if it actually had a chorus, instead of whatever that rap thing was.
Not even the pink hair extensions could save it for me.
|
The Boys is not the worst lead single ever, it still beats recent SNSD efforts (Taxi, Hoot, Bad Girl)
|
through 7 tracks and I'm very satisfied. Althought My J isn't my cup of tea
EDIT: Wasn't The Great Escape their lead single for the Japan album because it was pretty fucking amazing.
EDIT2: Now that I think about it all the tracks off their Japanese album are pretty fucking amazing.

Dat Hyorin. Song sounds like a perfect insert song for dramas. Can't wait till I get some free time so I can watch some PMY.

The Boys is catchy except for the terrible chorus, whoever thought this was a good idea should be fired. The rest of the album is pretty good though.

You're not the only one to say it, but while Hoot wasn't the best thing ever, there's no way this is better. The Boys is just awful x.x .
Other then that, gonna chime in with the Oscar love. It really is the best song on the album.
*oh and damned Korean Mr. Taxi, I wanted Let It Rain damnit!*

Dude people that I've seen here only post about SNSD and only to say they're awesome are saying the song is bad, it's not even your usual non-fanboys/haters (craton roffles me to a certain extent). When those people are saying it's bad it's more than antis and flaming. edit- ^They all were horrible what are you talking about? Opinions are opinions, what's horrible to you isn't horrible to him, and what isn't horrible to you is horrible to me.

Oh god, The Boys. Where do I start...
First of all, I don't think it's THAT BAD. Definitely not one of their best songs but it's got a strong beat and is somewhat catchy (like all of their other hits). The girls look amazing (dem Seohyun legs oh God) and the dance looks to be promising in live performances.
I really hate how they went about with this song though. So much autotune and shouting. The rap is atrocious and everytime they say "GIRLS GENERATION BRING THE BOYS OUT" I get reminded of the Pussycat Dolls. Also, Teddy Riley needs to gtfo.
It's sad that SNSD is slowly deteriorating into this shitty, commercial mess though. They were always more of an eye candy group that promoted bad but catchy songs to appeal to their fan. I used to be a huge fan of them but then I realized how much their songs suck compared to other groups that actually have good songs. I really think Miss-A has good songs (Goodbye Baby, Breathe). I also like F(x) more for the quirkiness of their songs.
Edit - Who am I kidding. It is their worst song right next to Mr.Taxi.
|
I don't know what SNSD was thinking with The Boys. It's just not a good song and it is the worst one on the album. The song was autotuned to death and has no hook in it. wtf
|
Listening through the new SNSD album. IMO
Good ones are: Telepathy, Trick, My J, Oscar, Top Secret, Vitamin, Mr Taxi. Average ones are: How Great is Your Love, Lazy Girl, Sunflower. Only bad one is, ironically, The Boys. (Why did this have to be the main song? lol )
|
Okay, after listening through the rest of the album, I really hope that The Boys has a super short promotion period and SNSD followups up with one of the other songs quickly. The Boys isn't the worst piece of garbage I have ever heard, but it is still below standards. It really should not be the title track and comeback song considering the other songs on the album.
|
|
TRICK should have the title song yo, oscar and top secret pretty good too but are samples of pop songs which i forget.
|
There is something about asian music that makes the songs have really nice melodies regardless of genre. That being said, The Boys isn't asian music =(
