Only there aren't enough NA fans to make it "go viral", or at least not enough to make further promotions/actual songs made in English. edit- also if they pick a song to make it should not be Genie. I'd pick Gee for sheer popularity, something older if it were up to me. | ||

How well they do depends on how good the songs are, how good the promotions are (radio, talk shows, etc.), and how well the American public will accept a) girl groups b) Asians/Korean culture (some of this depends on how Americanized WG will make themselves as well. I can make no predictions at this time because I know literally nothing about the songs they're making, but the fact that they're making so many original english songs and living in the US (does wonders for getting rid of that thick Korean accent, as well as making connections and getting acquainted with the culture) is a good sign IMO. edit- I think JYJ are going about it the best; working with actual talent- say what you will, but Kanye West is far better than all the other "american producers" that other groups have been working with, releasing in full english, getting decent hype (partially due to the Kanye connection), having a fair amount of concerts (something that apparently doesn't happen much in Korea but IMO is much more important in Western music). It would be better of course if they didn't split their fanbase by splitting with TVXQ but I'm sure SM wouldn't have done what they're doing now- they most likely would be doing what current DBSK is doing- Korean/Japanese promotions- and if they had I could see them fucking it up like WG/BoA have. | ||
