Anywho, so my general idea of Thai Pop is that it's somewhat inferior to Kpop but in some ways they try to give it their own twist to songs. Like blending in typical thai sounds (other than the language ofc -_-). I've also noticed an increase of Korean Singers in Thai Groups, so does Kamikaze's new boyband "X I S" include 2 Koreans. This made me wonder, like... thai people enjoy Kpop and they try to recreate it, but they do so by bringing Koreans over to sing in "thai" labeled groups. And it seems to me like korean singers see Thailand perhaps as a second chance? Like, they can't get into Kpop training at a major company and so they try in Thailand. I guess if my speculations are correct, same goes the other way around; for instance Nickhun and probably other Thai natives that I don't know in Kpop. Another thing about Thai pop that I think is quite different to Kpop is that Thai pop seems to be more focused on sex(y). Maybe this is related with Thailand (in)famous sex tourism, I dunno. Oh well, that being said; my general idea was to persuade you guys to listen to some thai pop if you haven't already and it seemed kinda silly to make a new thread for it just to see it being burried.
