What is "that type"? If you're talking slice of life that's a pretty big genre to push aside. I guess you could be talking about Clannad and not Clannad: AS because if you don't watch everything Clannad is just fluff.

In my very humble opinion, slice of life is a very big genre thats full of crap, so I push it aside. While there are some mildly enjoyable slice of life shows, in general I dislike them. In addition, I'm not a big fan of romance dramas with nothing else other than the romance drama as a draw. Well, considering I was the only one talking about Clannad that comment is pretty much directed at me, however: What I'm saying is the slice of life genre is huge with so many different kinds of shows in it. Clannad is the king of the hill when it comes to the genre because of how well the story is told and how well the characters are developed (Tomoya). To brush aside an entire series based on something as trivial as "big eyes" just seems ridiculous to me. I mean, it's your opinion and I never said it was wrong I simply said I think it's foolish.

I just made a joke about the animation style compared to a style I like alot more, I didn't expect anyone to take that "reason" seriously lol. I didn't brush the series aside because they are big eyed monstrosities, so I don't really know what you are trying to say here. I mean, its not like I've never given my reasons for not watching before (aka general dislike of slice of life/romantic dramas).

You using the word "monstrosities" seems like you use it as a reason. I mean, I could care less, but it doesn't really seem like you give any indication as to what your reasons are for not liking slice of life, rom-com, rom-drama shows other than you saying "general dislike". If you just don't like it simply because you don't like it I guess that's all there is to it.

They really could have ended the series here. I know what happens in the next two episodes and I don't see any reason for it to go on unless they are going to lead into a season3. I mean, I'm more than happy to see a few episodes of non-misunderstandings and awkward "firsts" for the two.

I don't want to argue stuff like personal taste, which is why I don't get into it beyond "general dislike". Everyone has their likes and dislikes, and debating things as subjective as that is kinda pointless IMO.

It's not even an argument. It's me asking why? When you use such derogative terms to refer to the genre I'm just curious as to why. There is nothing argumentative about what we're discussing it's just purely my own curiosity there hasn't been anything close to a "debate" on this subject.
