So he was born that way? Did he die? Did he have a will/agenda of his own or was he following someone? Nah, I meant this post. I'll quote the important part so you don't see knk 7/epilogue spoilers: + Show Spoiler + 6) And then there is Kurogiri Satsuki. Aside from his interesting position in between all parties, he’s actually the symbol for the mind. Satsuki in the novel is actually a guy who lost his past because “of the mischief of fairies;” he’s not actually a magus (as he was described in the movie) because he has little to no magical powers, he’s more an ESPer (ala the ch 3) who happens to be able to speak to and understand everything; as a result of his loss of memory due to the fairies he actually trained really hard under the supervision of the magus church to try to retrieve memories. In fact, via his Goddot Word superpower he’s possibly the only character in the Nasuverse who has direct access to the Acasic Record and doesn’t give a fuck. However, he realized that his memories are absolutely lost because they’re not in the Acasic Records – this is puzzling, but yeah. For reasons not fully explained, he takes off from the supervision (aka captive life) under the Church and becomes hunted, because he’s a wanted man for his direct connection to the Acasic Record. Araya manipulates a very willing to comply Satsuki toward Ryougi, in order to awaken her memories. As a result of Satsuki’s apathetic (and even sadistic) compliance, as a result of this chapter all the memories and thoughts of the deceased Shiki return to her, making her “whole” again, but exacerbating the pain of having lost part of her. This obviously displays the difference between mind and soul, and makes you realize MPD = multiple minds, Ryougi = multiple souls, and the mind is distinctly separate from the soul as Satsuki extracted the remaining mind and reconnected it in her. And yes, he's dead. Killed by Shiki in the movies, and stabbed by some random girl (which he described as "karma", if I remember correctly) in the LNs. Edit: Damn it Southlight. -_-

There was never a necessity to record them, never a necessity to "fulfill our wishes." Indeed, he nodded, his smiling face still set. S: It's simple. I wanted to remain a person. I wanted to feel that I am a person. If I hold dear people, as a person, then I could become a person like you. But that is not enough. Personal will is what makes a person a person. I needed to display that. Once upon a time, I sought other peoples' memories with fervor. I repeated only that process. Within there lie none else but my own will. Kurogiri Satsuki, even after losing his goal of wanting to retrieve his memories, did not want to lose that. That's why -- my one "human-like" attribute, the amusement via an interest, was decided to be that. A: So your goal... was to have a goal. I sucked in my breath, while he nodded, fully satisfied. S: Indeed. But Kokutou Azaka. Every magus is like that. Those are the words you wanted, nodded the magus who fulfilled peoples' wishes.

Somehow, the weekly manga I'm most interested in is TWGOK. Fuck OP, Bleach, Naruto, Fairy Tail and the rest. I just need my TWGOK dose. On March 17 2011 17:53 Wala.Revolution wrote: What's kigen? (From KnK) And I want your explanation of superpower (esp?) vs magic Southlight. Will it include ep. 7/epilogue spoilers? Each (living) thing was created based on a Will - it can be said that the root of all things is like a bowl of Wills. While each person doesn't necessarily have to adhere to this Will, they subconciously lean toward it (usually subtly), and if the Will is awakened within them they become imprisoned by it. That's a kigen. For example, Araya's kigen is "still-ness," in which he's fated to essentially circle one spot. His research hardly progresses (to our knowledge) over a long period of time, and he essentially obsesses into overpreparation to get shit done, only ironically by overpreparing (and then having things fail) he's still in a static position. Or like Azaka's kigen is technically "taboo" in which she feels drawn to things that society would call taboo (ie. incest). I'll translate the superpower vs magic passage when I get home.

\o/ + Show Spoiler [Durarara vol 6] + What a place for the volume to end - just when Mikado's finally starting to man up and not being a pansy. And apparently Yadogiri's a bigger fish than Izaya? Speaking of which, Izaya screwed up royally in this volume. Besides underestimating Yadogiri, he completely failed to assess Mikado's personality, and his plan with Shizuo didn't work either. What does Yadogiri want anyways? His motivations have been left vague up until now. Heck, nothing's really been revealed about him except for the fact that he was the executive of an entertainment company and that he wanted Ruri dead. No Ruri in this volume either. ![]() I'm completely baffled at the fact that Mikado still doesn't know that Anri is Saika. Vorona is like the only character in this series that I actively hate. I was happy when she got taken down a notch or two by the Awakusu-kai. She's probably going to end up as Shizuo's love interest though. Bah. Akane is love. So endearingly innocent. ![]() On March 17 2011 20:55 Latham wrote: Show nested quote + On March 17 2011 20:50 Ferrose wrote: On March 17 2011 15:03 blagoonga123 wrote: omgggg twgok 135 is finally out Thanks for the reminder.
