But that scene after the credits was so dumb. I'm glad I watched the series, since it gave us Kanade and a unique and AWESOME setting, but the show screwed it up terribly. The worst part about Angel Beats, imo, is how frickin' random the plot is. Naoi (I think that's his name) was essentially a bad guy for a total of two episodes before suddenly switching over. Kanade herself was portrayed as some heartless villain, then suddenly "LOL SHE JUST DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY". And the entire point of the resistance movement was to stop people from passing on, yet in the end, they all decide it's okay to pass on. And don't even get me started on the horrible transition between the funny and dramatic moments. The whole point was they didn't know what you would happen after they pass on. You could have become a water creature. You could have become reincarnated. They had no way to find out. The plot was completely random, had no sense of pacing, developed like no characters what so ever, etc. IMO the last episode wasn't even that good, and the setting wasn't even as great as you are making it out to be. + Show Spoiler + The thing about Kanade having whats-his-name's heart was lame IMO. It was forced and unnecessary. And then because Kanade could never thank a dead person for giving her his heart, she didn't have a good death either? Please. | ||

I think the real question is: how is this rated 8.53 on MAL? Even Lucky Star isn't that high >.> Edit @ Zergneedsfood: My problem with Kanon is that I only liked two of the heroines. And it also had a retarded ending. Though not as bad as Angel Beats! >.> | ||

Especially since after they found Otonashi's body they would have to go through all the procedures that it'd take to get the heart to Kanade, and then I'm guessing she would have died on the operating table or something, but since she was there before him wtf.
