If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.gg

New 7DS is good. Animation isn't crisp still, but it's a lot better than last season. The epic battles that are coming...hnnng

Its sop trivial though, its like comenting we will have new characters in a new season of a show, ofc the story will progress and have changes. As long as you dont go into detail about what the characters/Environments are I dont regard it as spoilers.

Then you cant really talk about any show without having everything in spoilertags

I agree with this. However, I also know people who would probably consider that a spoiler...

new season of promised neverland is really great so far

While I think so as well, apparently they really butchered the anime in the third episode by removing some important elements from the story and even the tension feels different from the source this season compared to the first. Probably good if you haven't read the source lol.

Im pretty sure the creator(of the manga) is involved with the anime, it might be that the changes that have been made are due to pacing etc. really to much manga to cover in 11 eps.

Still bummed about it though, but im having hopes they cant make it come together

I heard that people really didn't like the ending of manga, or even most of what happens after the arc they cut from the anime. Apparently even the author doesn't like, and given the author is involved in the anime I think it's fine that they decided to deviate from the source material.

Because Fukumoto loves to drag things out. It's a miracle that the series ended at all.

Fucking hell so I'm halfway through watching Monster for the first time and honestly anime does not get much better than this. I didn't see how they could stretch this plot out over 74 episodes and it would still be compelling or thrilling but I was so wrong. I can't stop watching, the story is just so good.

Spider isekai is just so so great. Apparently, the story becomes even more amazing and it's been so entertaining so far if one can swallow a bit of CGI. The narration and leveling+constant fights is so great. Have any other isekais taken a similar approach? Can't recall a single one. Would recommend the watch for any isekai or curious watchers!

that seems fair. On that note, how does that even work? Did the author write themselves into a corner and had to end it in an undesirable manner or am I missing something?

Monster is fantastic. You wonder how it can be that long, then you start watching and time flies. It's quite the thriller. Don't forget to let us know your thoughts afterwards!

Fucking hell so I was halfway through your post and was already formulating an indignant response in my head because I misread and thought you were saying Monster doesn't get better during its run time and implying it's mediocre, lol. Anyways, anime can get better than this because Monster is going to improve on itself in the second half.

Finished Monster in 2 days. Legit is only the second time I've ranked an anime 10/10 on MAL. I laughed, I was spooked, I cried, I yelled at my computer screen during the library scene.

What an incredible show. I have some misgivings about how it ends but that's just about the biggest complaint I have. Oh and Nina/Anna is now on my all time favorite girls list.

I don't know, I haven't read any of the manga. I just saw some comments about it on the site I watch anime on. Though it sounded like maybe the author just had a better idea along the way, but it was too late so they just had to finish it. But that could just be me seeing things that people weren't implying.

Started watching show, on Part 3 now. I thought Parts 1 + 2 were kind of overrated. It has that super old-timey exposition where they have to explain EVERYTHING and it kinda makes the pacing incredibly slow. But Part 3 thats all over and it seems way better. Kinda confused by the timeline of events with the stands tho, but I need to finish it before I venture out asking questions.

Yea! keeping the same feeling from season 1 even though enviroment is so different. Also the story just gets better and better!

Well that didn't last. The show has collapsed into a dumpster fire with several skipped arcs and obvious pacing and writing issues stemming from that. It's like they're trying to speedrun the story, and so much of the nuance from the first season is lost now.

The first few episodes of this season were promising, but the last few episodes burned away all that positivity.

My understanding is that since the source ended, they are going for an anime original ending so as a result, they skipped arcs to do so since if you had to adapt the whole source, it'll be several cours and that isn't likely to happen. On that note, I do agree that the start was great, but these last several episodes haven't been as good.

You know I can't believe I am saying this given where it started from, and it will never be something loved by people who don't like Shonen, but Black Clover has to be the greatest Shonen ever. It's also my top anime of this season, in one of (in my opinion) best anime seasons we've ever had.

BC has definitely come into it's own. It took some time getting there, but I'm glad they trucked along and kept bringing it. Been there since day 1 and it's an amazing series. The next closest to it (new series) would be My Hero Academia. But they take forever for new seasons. Since One Piece is the last of the old big 3, BC, MHA, stand alone at the top at the moment (obviously going for longevity over substance at the moment).
