Its sop trivial though, its like comenting we will have new characters in a new season of a show, ofc the story will progress and have changes. As long as you dont go into detail about what the characters/Environments are I dont regard it as spoilers. Then you cant really talk about any show without having everything in spoilertags

Probably good if you haven't read the source lol.

Im pretty sure the creator(of the manga) is involved with the anime, it might be that the changes that have been made are due to pacing etc. really to much manga to cover in 11 eps. Still bummed about it though, but im having hopes they cant make it come together

Apparently even the author doesn't like, and given the author is involved in the anime I think it's fine that they decided to deviate from the source material. that seems fair. On that note, how does that even work? Did the author write themselves into a corner and had to end it in an undesirable manner or am I missing something? I didn't see how they could stretch this plot out over 74 episodes and it would still be compelling or thrilling but I was so wrong. I can't stop watching, the story is just so good. Monster is fantastic. You wonder how it can be that long, then you start watching and time flies. It's quite the thriller. Don't forget to let us know your thoughts afterwards!

Fucking hell so I was halfway through your post and was already formulating an indignant response in my head because I misread and thought you were saying Monster doesn't get better during its run time and implying it's mediocre, lol. Anyways, anime can get better than this because Monster is going to improve on itself in the second half.

What an incredible show. I have some misgivings about how it ends but that's just about the biggest complaint I have. Oh and Nina/Anna is now on my all time favorite girls list.

I just saw some comments about it on the site I watch anime on. Though it sounded like maybe the author just had a better idea along the way, but it was too late so they just had to finish it. But that could just be me seeing things that people weren't implying.

The show has collapsed into a dumpster fire with several skipped arcs and obvious pacing and writing issues stemming from that. It's like they're trying to speedrun the story, and so much of the nuance from the first season is lost now. The first few episodes of this season were promising, but the last few episodes burned away all that positivity.

My understanding is that since the source ended, they are going for an anime original ending so as a result, they skipped arcs to do so since if you had to adapt the whole source, it'll be several cours and that isn't likely to happen. On that note, I do agree that the start was great, but these last several episodes haven't been as good.
