If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.gg

For currently airing anime, please see Anichart.net

MHA, Fumetsu, Zombie Land Saga (loved how quirky it was. Reminds me of Little Witch Academy), Shaman King, Slime, Iruma, Tokyo Revengers, Nomad Megalo Box 2, Edens Zero (just because), 86: Eighty Six, Sentouin Hakenshimasu, Mars Red, Shadows House.

Might be some more that I watch an episode or two of but that's pretty much all I'll be watching.

My only must watch for next season is Fruits Basket s3. Slime has been pretty meh lately, so not terribly keen on another season. Gridman was alright, so I'll try Dynazenon. I have no expectations for the TWEWY anime but nostalgia is strong.

In other news, in case anybody is interested: Someone started subbing Saikyou Bushouden Sangoku Engi, which has basically been absent from the internet for 10 years now. First 3 episodes are done, so it will take some time (if they can keep it up) but there is some hope. I watched the first episode and it was a bit cringe-worthy because the story seemed to move at 4 times the speed it should have. Soundtrack is pretty fantastic though and art and animation are good except for a couple bad cgi moments. I hope they slow down quite a bit moving forward. I mean, it's 52 episodes so they should, right?

Is this show supposed to be particularly good/notable? Don't think I've ever heard about it, even in passing. As far as I know, the only Japanese Three Kingdoms work that has any lasting influence is Sangokushi, as it's an actual manga classic (and is translated, all 438 chapters). There's also Souten Kouro, but it's hard to tell if anyone cared about it beyond the meme factor.

For an old show, a 52 episode runtime should fill you with dread. Chances are good the sub group will die before this is completed. Hyouge Mono took ~2 years to complete despite being well liked (in its niche) and only 39 eps.

According to the manga readers, it supposed to get really good going forward. So we'll see. If the next few eps are duds, I might drop it as well.

No, not that I know of. The premise sounded good and I read that the original anime version significantly diviated from the source and ended up being quite terrible. The remake has been said to follow the source closely to the very end, which in this day and age of anime is incredibly rare.

And yes, I'm aware of that. I was surprised when I got the notification from the person who subs it atm. I know there is a good chance they won't finish. However, in case they do I would rather download all the episodes when they come out instead of running into the problem of not having any seeds later on and I thought I would give people here the chance, too, in case anybody put the show on their backlog.

Zombie Land Saga is getting a second season? HOLY SHIT! The season is saved.

Also Fruits Basket s3, but it getting a S3 was never in doubt.

Indeed it is. Welcome to the family.

In all seriousness, spring season is looking pretty solid. There seems to be something for everyone. Also, Demon Slayer US release for the Infinite Train movie is in June.

I actually think this current season is the best in quite a while. Between new anime and sequels, it's been great. Will give my thoughts on the new season once I get a chance to see what's coming.

This current season hasn't been too bad. But for my tastes, there isn't a lot really. From the 13 of next season, there's only 4-5 I'm watching this season.

Now that I think about it, this would've aired around the time of a particularly popular live action adaptation. This series has 95 40-minute episodes and still got complete fansubs.

Edit: Watched the first episode. It's rushed as hell. I guess they're trying to speed through the Yellow Turban Rebellion to get to the "good" parts? But in the process they've kinda botched all the character introductions and done a pretty poor job of describing the current situation.

Funnily enough, I once caught my dad binge watching that Saikyou Bushouden Sangoku Engi anime very loudly on his phone.

I remember the good ol days when they'd actually air good anime like Keijo.... Seems like its been forever since Keijo ended and anime died.

Well, that's what I meant when I said the story seemed to move at 4 times the speed it should. I haven't read the book and I can definitely say I felt confused about the main characters and the set up after ep1... Apparently it becomes better from ep5 onwards - whatever that means.

Now that we're at the end of this season, I can definitively say that The Promised Neverland season 2 is one of the biggest dumpster fires in all anime, and it seems almost purposeful how they botched it.
