Yeah, it was cool seeing the flamboyance of the crimson villagers in action. Also Sylvia's big, floppy boobs, which somehow got bigger, floppier, and more uncovered as the movie went on.

Kabukichou Sherlock is good. So is No Gun's Life. Fire Force is probably the best "new" anime out though.

On the discussion between Slaughter and Dangermousecatdog a while ago i feel like it's mostly just something Dangermousecatdog doesn't enjoy and maybe (without intent) isn't trying to to understand because he's not enjoying it. Especially with people basicly telling him that he's just stupid and should have no problem understanding it. I get that that's not the intent but it could very well be interpreted that way if people constantly tell you that it's fine and you get annoyed by it. Not trying to blame slaughter here since I've been part of that as well. Just trying to put into words how i assume it feels like from the other side. That being said if you wached the First Order OVA that is all you need to watch Babylonia so far imo as well. I can see an argument for it getting confusing later on with gramps and whatnot but the whole setting is basicly: You have 2 people, Mash + MC and then DaVinci + Romani as the supports back in Chaldea. MC+Mash are traveling to a new region and they have no idea what's going on or who's going to be there. So all the servants that you see in the anime, aside from Mash, are unknown to both the MC as well as the viewer or the player who just started this arc. The point of these arcs is trying to figure out who those unknown people or servants are, who you can trust and who you can't trust, what's going on in that world etc. So feeling lost is kind of what it's supposed to be and as the episodes or the chapters (within that arc) play out the identity of servants and people get revealed and you eventually find out who the good guys are and who the evil guys. For large portions of the arcs you just don't know and aren't supposed to know who those servans are and wether they're allies or enemies. I'd still tell people to watch it but I've obviously played the game myself and enjoyed it a lot so hard to tell how it looks to someone from the outside. I've personally played the first arc (the arc covered by the OVA) and then skipped the 2nd, 3rd and 4th arc because Neo told me I should just get a "starter account" instead of starting from 0, so i did that and that account happened to be done with Oceanos. So London was my personal point of getting into the series besides the very first arc and it hasn't been an issue for me. Also, BigFan needs to watch Bakemonogatari

Well, I watched LoGH so it's only fair that I give Bake a try, however, I'm still traumatized when Toad threatened me several years back! ![]() On November 19 2019 08:43 Toadesstern wrote: https://twitter.com/CloudedByAsh/status/1196123983143460864 haha, my god. It's as if someone can't love a movie because someone else hates or dislikes it XD edit: I also think you hit the explanation pretty well for Babylonia. You can see it from both sides, but it's been kinda obvious that neither side will see it clearly from the other so it was best that they both retired from that conversation despite it being quite entertaining lol.

Watched the movies then the anime and even left my thoughts on it. We also had some fun at Toad's expense ![]() On September 30 2017 01:30 Sentenal wrote: Favorite character(s)? Closing thoughts on the show overall? And behold, this is a testiment to how good LOGH is. In the past, BigFan was hestitant to start LOGH, given how long it was. And then he started it, and finished it in like 2 weeks. A skeptic turned believer in such a short time. If BigFan can do it, why not everyone else? Toad, when you gonna watch LOGH? As you say, you've played the game as well, so it would be hard for you to tell what it looks like for someone who has not. You write what the setting is, but when that setting isn't properly introduced or expressed by the anime, that is a failure of storytelling. I can recognise when I am filling in knowledge from familiarity with previous fate series, and so I can point out things that aren't properly introduced by First Order as well, so I am puzzled as to why you and Slaughter inability to recognise this. Someone who haven't watched previous fate series will be clueless about First Order, and so will be about FGO babylonia. You are just filling in the gaps from the previous fate series and from the game. For instance, you seem to have no clue that First Order never explains the holy grail and mages and masters and servants concepts, which previous fate series spent more time than the entire movie exploring the concepts of, nor that Da Vinci pops up from nowhere to someone who hasn't played the game. But at least unlike Slaughter you just haven't compeltely lost all grip on reality and is claiming things have happened in the anime when they haven't at all.
