This post is either a very elaborate joke or very ironic.

Plot Summary: Zen Seizaki, a public prosecutor at Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office, is investigating a case of illegal clinical research related to a drug company and a university. During the investigation, he finds a file that Shin Inaba, an anesthesiologist, kept, which includes blood that is mixed with hair, skin, and a paper written with letter F. As he investigates, he realized there's a hidden plot that is connected with a huge election as well as to a certain person who is in charge of it. Genre: Thriller

If you haven't kept up, you won't know what the hell is going on. And this is like 1 of 8 different stories that could have been animated. So, take that however.

The FGO story is its own thing so you don't have to know any other Fate series. In fact a lot of fans got into Fate via the game.

They've already spoiled important parts of the upcoming movie because it happens before this anime chronologically. It's effectively fanservice for people who already know the story. The climax of this anime won't make much sense without the unreleased movie. It's incredibly fucked lol.

So basicly there's an evil mage that wants to eliminate the human race. He used the 7 (?) holy grails and send them to different time periods in human history. They are supposed to alter the timeline so much that the world breaks apart. Those 7 different places× are called Singularities and the series/game is about going there, retrieving those grails and bringing everything back to normal so humanity continues. Babylonia happens to be the 7th of those but they're all their own seperate little stories. Mash, the girl with all the ass-shots, and the MC will be in every story but the servants that show up will be different in every story. Realistically speaking I think that's all you need to know? The organization that sends them out to repair the world is called Chaldea, Dr Roman and Da Vinci are other important reappearing characters that basicly give support from the outside but that should be it more or less? Mash is some kind of designer baby who was created to fuse with a servant so you have half-servant, half-human to protect the MC more or less.

Anyway, EP 1 seemed promising. I’ve been playing the game though so I kind of want to finish Babylonia there first lol.

Loli was a mistake. On October 07 2019 08:12 Slaughter wrote: The only thing you would need to get into Babylonia is to watch the First Order OVA to get a general sense of what the situation is. The Babylon episode 0 would also help. The FGO story is its own thing so you don't have to know any other Fate series. In fact a lot of fans got into Fate via the game. That's utter rubbish. You clearly played the game and watched all the Fate series, so you aren't placed at all to judge whether someone who hasn't will be able to understand. Fate/Grand Order is clearly made for people who played the game. If you never watched another fate series you will have no idea what they are constantly referring. I watched all the fate series, and watched Fate/Grand Order: First Order and still have no idea what exactly is going on, other than a general sense of that these good guys are being sent through time to fight bad guys. Nevermind someone who have not watched fate vefore, they have no idea what a "master" is, what a "servant" is, what a "command spell" is, what a "heroric spirit", what a "bounded field" is that are being refered to, and more things that would be spoilers. The anime never goes and tell you what any of these are because it assumes you already know. You don't know who these characters are, because they are never properly introduced, because it assumes you are already familiar with them.

Just wiki what you don't seem to get (that's not a crime btw) and just go from there if the asses interest you. It's all shitty alternate history anyway and from what I know we're going to be robbed of real ancient Mesopotamian bromance/bros before hoes eroticism.

Pretty sure the First Order OVA covers all those basics mate. The Chaldean summoning system is completely divorced from the Holy Grail War system. Stuff like Fate/Zero and Stay Night have nothing to do with the FGO story. You don't need to know extensive servant backstories, you will get more out of the anime sure if you played the game but it isn't necessary especially for the servants who make their story debut in Babylon. The singularities are their own self contained stories within a grand story and hell like znf said a lot of the earlier ones are pretty bad to meh and could almost be discarded completely. Toad literally just spelled out the basic premise and First Order is the prologue and the Episode 0 fleshes out Romani and Mash more.

+ Show Spoiler + ![]() ferrose calls her ugly though On October 07 2019 20:43 Zergneedsfood wrote: Let's be real, the first five chapters of FGO are among some of the worst things I've ever had the displeasure of reading, and so as long as you have watched anything of the Fate universe and get some of the mechanics and terms it's not an impossible task to get a good chunk of the story without having played FGO at all, especially since the vast majority of the singularities are literally non-stories. The over world plot is also pretty barebones, you can just look that up or ask a friend to explain it briefly. Just wiki what you don't seem to get (that's not a crime btw) and just go from there if the asses interest you. Everything that has Blackbeard in it is great. Jokes aside, I generally don't really get why people like the London story so much? People always say the first 4 are garbo (so london and later are good) but it's really just babylon and camelot that are great for me.

London just looks okay relative to the others. I mean Rome is so bad I almost forget sometimes that the French Revolution story also happened so....
