Promare was an joyful spectacle that was hype as hell. I just watched the prequel. Got major Fire Force and TTGL vibes but I'm loving it. Oh dang, I didn't know about the prequel. I gotta watch that soon. I'd say the Fire Force vibes fall off after the first act, but they kept up with the blatant TTGL homages plus hints of KLK, Gunbuster/Diebuster, and LWA. It pretty much felt like a spiritual amalgamation of Trigger and Imaishi's previous works. It's 9 minutes. Not really a must see if you've caught the movie. But it got me instahyped for it. The short was pretty decent. Kinda gives a good gist of the first act of the movie, but I will say that the movie has a tendency to go even further beyond...

Decided to watch Gundam Zeta. 8 episodes in and it's not bad, but the action feels lacking at times? The animation is ok overall, and the story is great, but feels like at times, there's a lot of cut scenes during fights? I typically don't notice this stuff as much because I never really felt it much even in the second season of OPM, but for whatever reason, it feels more pronounced here. Maybe I had different expectations going in.

Penguin Highway fucking sucked.

I thought a training/recovery arc would be a weird place to do a season finale, but Ufotable still managed to flex some great visuals and teases for the next arc. No doubt the upcoming movie will look even more incredible.

So the movie will cover the train arc? Sweet if thats the case

They really went all out on the animation for ep 26. That entire Kibutsuji scene was great.

Good final episode. A send-off to the movie arc (tho they skipped a great panel apparently where zenitsu is talking to nezuko)
Kimetsu no Yaiba is the only anime that i have been spoiled endlessly(me for being dumb reading some wikia and well my friends assuming i read the manga) that i still wanted to watch even tho i already know alot of gonna happen but it looks like the movie is gonna take a long while (and probably no season 3 tho i hope they pull a Kara No Kyokai with a movie series per arc on Kimetsu if that is possible).

The issue I have with the train arc being a movie, is if it will lead to each Hashira getting a movie to themselves. The train arc isn't that long. The following missions with each Hashira isn't that long in the manga as well. So if they're going to give each Hashira a movie, that's going to be...weird to me. In the manga, things begin to move pretty quickly. I don't think they need to go this route.
BUT, I'm fully onboard no matter what because this season of KnY has been amazing.

any other new anime worth watching this season besides Kimetsu no Yaiba, Vinland saga and dr.stone?

If anything, it's a combination of things: where S1 ended in terms of the story, how much of a boost the anime gave to source manga sales, the length of the next arc, etc. A movie for the train arc makes a lot of sense, esp considering the climax of said arc. If anything, with all things considered, it bodes well for a KnY S2. We're just lucky to have a movie greenlit so soon after the first season ended.

Man I'm so glad I finally watched all the sequels to Bakemonogatari. What an excellent fucking series.

Tbh i just ufotable to adapt KnY more. They made the manga even more impressive how good it only should be.
Also i can't believe that KnY has such insane pacing and well actually felt like balanced powerlevels(which says alot for a shounen manga)

My wife was watching heaven's feel 2 last night while I did homework. I caught some of the fight scenes out of the corner of my eye. I'm not too into the fate series after unlimited bladeworks, but holy shit - I've never seen better animation.
Does anyone want to put out candidates for highest quality animation in a movie or series?
