London just looks okay relative to the others. I mean Rome is so bad I almost forget sometimes that the French Revolution story also happened so.... I always felt that Artoria has that kind of androgynous look going for her. Maybe because she's based on the usually male Arthur? Whereas Mash def has curves in all the right places and way more sexualized clothes. Sure she has the same face as Artoria but then again who doesn't.

Toad, London was the 4th singularity, so people who say the first 4 are bad are including London with the bad ones. America was the fifth, and it was aight, although it clearly showed that the Japanese have no idea how big the United States actually is. IMO Septum is in its own tier of bad, and London was worse than Orleans and Okeanos as well.
Ferrose is probably just one of those people who hates Mash for "cockblocking" the player from romancing <generic anime grill who he is thristy for>, so again, you can just ignore.
|
oh right, london was the 4th one not the fifth. I guess America was decent but yeah i 100% agree with you that it just ended up being silly how they travelled from one location to the next in what seemed to be a short time interval but then you look at the map it's like NY to SF (okay, maybe not that extreme) and you just think to yourself that that would take weeks and months by foot. Maybe getting carried by servant and they're a bit faster but still really sketch Actually nevermind they were carrying the indian boy for half of the journey who was dying all the time so if anything they'd probably even be slower than average
I think ferrose just really hates short hair and that's why he doesn't like mash? Or maybe he's just taunting me whenever I post mash to tease me and doesn't actually dislike her that much

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Are you telling me that there were actually 6 seasons before this one? No wonder I have no idea what is happening and who all these characters are.
|
you're only supposed to know Mash+MC and maybe Dr Roman+Da Vinci. The rest are supposed to be unknown

I suppose each part is relatively self-contained, but it is part 7 and actually close to the end, so good luck. lol

London was pretty bad since the arc was "run around in fog not doing much, and then at the end a whole shit load of Servants show up out of nowhere for literally no reason and fight for literally no reason, the end"

New servants are summoned into each different singularity so the only consistent characters are the MC + Mash and the support characters who are in chaldea like Romani and Da Vinci. No servant from London or America appear in Babylon for example. And if a servant does appear in multiple singularities they don't remember events from the other story anyway.

Merlin and First Hassan beg to differ

Babylon was Merlin's 1st proper appearance. KH Also shows up for like 2 seconds and does the thing then peaces out.

I don't really count him wandering by going "I will see you soon eventually" as a proper appearance. Also doesn't change my point.
|
Even outside his direct appearance in America, he had a significant background influence on Camelot, and that sort of stuff is going to be expected knowledge for Babylon. And literally no one is gonna know wtf is going on when First Hassan shows up, and due to what happens in Babylon, THAT part is prettyyyyyy big and important. So, uhhh, good luck to first timers.
|
His appearance in Camelot was just to be an info dump for Bedivere's backstory in a flashback. Nothing to do with Babylon's story and he explains his own circumstances in the babylon story. King Hassan's role was pretty much explained in Babylon as well and its not like the concept of Grand is hard to grasp or explain.

I don't like Mash because I don't like her design, her character arc is boring, and she's creepy as heck. You barely meet her for a few minutes and she's your kouhai that will always be with you. Back off, stalker.
I know I like Kiyohime but she's at least up front about being a creepy yandere stalker.

first impressions:
Cautious Hero: i liked the humor and art style of this new anime, looked really good.
Kemono Michi: Rise Up: meh, pretty boring tbh, couldnt finish the episode.
Houkago Saikoro Club: interesting concept but the first episode felt slow and was kind of boring. i will try to watch two more episodes to have a final decision about this one

Kemono Michi feels kinda middling. I'm a bit disappointed since this came from the same author as Konosuba, but the second episode felt a bit better and had a surprisingly decently animated wrestling scene.
Cautious Hero feels like the better isekai. Main goddess has amazing reaction faces and voice acting (she did Yui in K-On! and Yunyun too). I love the humor.
Oresuki is fairly funny after the first half of the first episode (which is set up as bait before the true nature of the show reveals itself). Overall, it's mostly awful people quickly tying themselves up in a web of misunderstanding and unrequited attraction.

Cautious Hero is Konosuba lite for all intents and purposes.

So far I've only watched Beastars and Cautious Hero from this season.
Cautious Hero I'd give a 9/10. Completely hilarious. I wonder if it can keep it up without getting repetitive, though.
Beastars I'd give like an 8.5. Only have watched one episode, but I find it intriguing and I think the animation/cgi is fantastic.
