Well... + Show Spoiler +She was the MC. For that episode. From the preview, it looks like next week + Show Spoiler + will be. That family, though... they had issues.

I just saw that MiA is rank 24 on MAL. I mean, the show is good but that's over-hyping it, isn't it? In before, I'm aware that MAL rankings are not to be taken seriously. What confuses me is that MiA doesn't come off as a show that would get hyped on MAL. At least not in my mind. I also started Soul Eater with a friend I'm traveling with. We are up to ep11. + Show Spoiler +The humour is childish and I dislike Blackstar and the symmetry kid. It also feels episodic while they try to deliver some progress. The "observer room" is so typical... Not a fan of that, either.
I can live with the animation though. Bones is doing good work here. Although the opening fight of Maka probably was the best looking fight in the series so far. Although the last one of Tsubaki against her brother had some nice scenes as well. I think MIA should've had a slightly faster pace through the earlier episodes. + Show Spoiler +I mean, you have these kids going into the bottom of the abyss and you hear about all these terrible things that they have to go up against to survive and yet, it also feels like it's a walk in the park for the first x episodes/layers. Given, it's not a bad show per se and I like the way things progressed overall. Tension, desperation, hopelessness etc... that's what the anime should be showing a lot more of like these last couple of episodes.

+ Show Spoiler [LotGH] +I always thought Rubinsky was laughable. He was never going to win anyways so I was ok with him just dying instead of getting his ass handed to him. The way they did it certainly seemed a bit sudden though. Surely not the high point of the writing in LotGH.
+ Show Spoiler [MiA] +Dunno, the first 2 layers always sounded like a walk in the park, no? I think the pace of the first episodes was completely fine, I liked the slow pace. If anything, it's getting too fast now. Completing the third layer in just 1 episode feels wrong. It's a show that certainly needs more than 13 episodes...

Did you guys know that the only Gundam that Toad recognizes is Strike Freedom, and the only reason he recognizes it is probably because of Infinite Stratos?
|
MiA was nice. + Show Spoiler +I don't like Riko much so the show got literally twice as good while she was in a coma and Nanachi was introduced. I caught up with the manga too, anything with Bonedrewd has been the high point so far, though the latest chapters are interesting as well. The OST was fantastic.

I have yet to watch this week's ep of but was this the final ep of MiA?

Did you finish watching it yet?
edit: always funny to see folks review an anime after watching a single episode haha. The Black Clover MAL review is a good example especially the ending

Haven't finished MiA yet. Lots of open Wifi sources block my sources for anime.^^ Still 4 eps to go I think.

Don't know if that's what they complain about in that MAL review, but the main character's yelling made me drop it.
edit: I spoilered it now but it's still visible in your post

Freedom is superior to Destiny. Also superior to Justice, for what its worth

I like Strike Freedom too. Much pewpew.

Strike Freedom's problem is that it has ugly golden joints, and clashes with the blue/white it has going on. Freedom's colors went well with each other.
Speaking of Gundam, has anyone in here gotten Gundam Versus on PS4? It has a Western release, and I need more people to play multiplayer with. I've been having lots of fun with Freedom and the X1, and also my new main Mobile Suit + Show Spoiler +
