Nanachi is saving the anime just like she saved the manga, the BD preorders are going strong on Amazon now so S2 is a possibility. Might take a while until there's enough content though (26 out of the 42 current chapters were adapted for reference). Overall I'm very happy with the adaptation, didn't think I would tear up again but that last episode though  Also catching up to SnB: Virgin Soul atm, damn I forgot what a beautiful show it is. The battles at the end of the first cour were a treat to watch. Heard the plot gets dumb at the end so it's not too different from S1 then. I'm just gonna enjoy the ride and see for myself what the end is like. Edit: For the people who are planning to continue MiA with the manga: You can start from chapter 26 but make sure to read the 3 bonus chapters from volume 3 too. Chapter 18 is the condensed version of episode 9 and is also worth cheking out but optional, everything else was adapted faithfully aside from re-ordering some stuff so it flowed better in the anime. | ||

That being said it has it's flaws. The early episodes are a lot of technobabble and the last episode was kind of... not needed imo. I enjoyed it and watched it week to week but I don't think I'd watch it in one (or multipe) sittings if it wasn't for that weekly ritual of "oh ReCreators is out" oh, the 2nd ending theme was also pretty nice I guess. Mother's Rosario was absolute putrid garbage, and then Alicizatoin had a decent start, avoided much of the stuff that ruined practically every other arc of SAO, but eventually even it turned into shit. The later parts of Alicization are almost as bad as the ALO arc, IMO. It makes me doubt that Progressive is any different from the rest of the series. | ||

I like progressive because he is going through their progress floor by floor so its a lot of Kirito and Asuna just questing and going through the "story" campaign of the game while setting up some of the things we saw in the original like the origins of the laughing coffin guild and their activities and how some of the NPCs seem to be acting less like normal AIs. | ||
