Any other anime in the same genre (talking about no-life / losers / neet)?
[15:51:00] <Toad|> anyways, elem did you watch welcome to the nhk? [15:51:17] <Toad|> because I think the guy I quoted above is giving watamote way too much credit by comparing the two [15:51:34] <Toad|> but I never watched it myself so can't exactly say [15:51:46] <Elemovic> i think most in this channel have watched welcome to the nhk [15:51:57] <Elemovic> the guy is gonna be very suprised [15:52:00] <Toad|> but I know you watched watamote! [15:52:00] <Elemovic> and not in a good way [15:52:02] <Elemovic> when he continues [15:52:14] <Elemovic> watamote was shit after a handful of eps [15:52:21] <Elemovic> cos its just same dull joke [15:52:25] <Elemovic> and no real change [15:52:27] <Toad|> that's why I was curious [15:52:42] <Toad|> I mostly heard good things about welcome to the nhk [15:52:53] <Toad|> whereas watamote was just ... cringe 24/7 [15:53:15] <Toad|> guess I'll watch welcome to the nhk myself to have a look [15:55:30] <Elemovic> well thats why nhk doesnt go cringe [15:55:35] <Elemovic> cos there is advancement [15:55:55] <Elemovic> (not to mention actual characters and not just gag devices)
as for the question... you have a shitton of LN-turned-into-anime that have losers / no-lifer's / neets be the main character but for the most part they turn into those amazing magic jesus kind of people saving the world in some weird fashion. No Game No Life, Outbreak Company etc but I don't think that's what you're looking for, right?

I see, guess I haven't watched enough episodes of Watamote yet to realize it isn't the same thing as NHK -_-

Does anyone know what the abbreviations in front of all the JAV videos stand for, or whether there's any special categorization (such as genre, as similar acronyms seem to have similar genres of JAVs), or is it just the names of the companies that produce those videos? For example, I see CLUB-238, or OKAD-371, or HUNTA-133. Can anyone please explain? Thanks.

the letter abbreviations usually stands for the studio/company and the number represents the "volume/edition"

Seems weird that a show like this is so low in popularity. Looking at the spring 2007 page, it's likely that it got overshadowed by all the great and/or popular stuff that was airing that season: TTGL, Darker than Black, Claymore, Seirei no Moribito, Dennou Coil, Bokurano, Terra e... as well as some stuff from the previous season like Code Geass, Death Note and Nodame Cantabile. Holy moly. Shin Jeeg fell pray to the same season, with TTGL sucking the oxygen out of everything back then. Not even the fantastic JAM Project OP got many people to notice it.

Gintama. Why? Why are you so good.

randomly found this from handshakers. If you guys aren't aware, it's that horrible thing noone is watching this season:

why? who lives in that in that show?
|
I don't watch it and I don't think anyone actually lives there... it's just that there's no possible way for there to be a room or ANYTHING with the stairs being directly behind it. It would have to be literally a door with nothing else there because the wall is, at most, 20-30cm wide
//inb4 it actually makes sense in the show because it's a portal to another world or some crap like that

The closet likely extends further back under the stairs, but the top of the closet would be very shallow and probably hold your socks, scarves, etc. The lower part of the closet would be deep enough to hold jackets and the like. Or possibly hidden appliances like one of those washer/dryer-in-one or a water heater.

3DPD is the most annoying term in the culture.

Knowing that I might get Seo'd, I was a bit concerned about the week long delay in this episode of Fuuka. Also, having been a bit spoiled about what happens in the manga, I was more concerned during + Show Spoiler +the scene just before their concert, when Fuuka was in the crosswalk. Although something did happen, apparently they decided to continue not adhering strictly to the manga.
I think the story was softened by how it's going + Show Spoiler +and with a soft, not dead exit of Fuuka , and I'm not sure if it will continue with the same kind of plot that the manga seems to have followed.
But I have no complaints about the music.
+ Show Spoiler +On reflection based on some of the manga I just went through to see what the difference was in the story, I understand a bit some of the things that happened in the anime to set up the difference. Yuu goes for Koyuki so Fuuka has a reason to take the producer (who doesn't appear in the manga) up on his offer. The story moves forward without the death and depression; we don't find out that Yuu can sing and Fuuka lives but is still removed so the story more or less can continue on something approaching the lines the manga follow. Maybe. I like that Fuuka didn't just get killed off, but I think the story probably loses some impact. Well, they have to tell a coherent story in one cour, and that probably would have been impossible at the pacing they were keeping as Fuuka would have been dead this episode, and the last two episodes would be hard pressed to not just be Yuu being depressed and the band falling apart.
Things I also didn't know - apparently Fuuka is a sequel to Suzuka, which is about Fuuka's parents.

To me it looks fine. It's similar to the one we have but the door would be on the side where the man in grey stands.

Anyways, wasn't important. Just thought it looked funny

But man, that Gintoki vs Kamui fight?!!?!? Yes. Just yes.
