looool, Rakugo's fucking cliffhanger. What the fuck? -.-'
+ Show Spoiler +Was it a dream or did he just die for real?...

Really? I think I never was as bored during a 3-gatsu episode as during the first half of ep21. I don't even feel like watching the second half now...

I didn't think it was that great. If anything it was one of the weaker 3gatsu episodes for me. And I'm saying that as someone who really likes the 3 sisters. I wouldn't go out of my way to claim it was bad either though, just about average or somewhat below average for me.
Kai(ki) was still really nice and I love hearing his voice in general so that makes things great whenever he has screentime

I really wonder how they want to wrap 3gatsu up since the manga (to which they have been sticking quite closely) does not offer a good "ending" point in the next couple of chapters, making it a bit awkward....
|
I was kind of wondering as well. I haven't read the manga but I really don't know what they could do for last episode at this point without making it feel out of place or the start of something new.
But then again they got the same treatment as Log Horizon so maybe they'll just get a season 2 despite fairly low sales?

So the 3 sisters finally having screen time made it great. Also, + Show Spoiler +it was really touching when Hina decided to call and he was just right outside.
The human shogi thing was cool, like wizard's chess :D

3 gatsu basically just needs as much Akari as possible in every episode.

I like the SoL side of it way more than the shogi side as well (shogi side = them playing shogi). I think you need to understand shogi very, very well to understand anything they are doing. I know the basic rules and have played shogi before but it's way too fast in the anime for me to realise why they are doing certain moves... It's just that I didn't feel like the first half of the episode offered anything compelling. It was pretty irrelevant because it was mostly hubbub (is that a thing? I looked "Klamauk" up in a dictionary and that popped up. :D It's so weird if you look up a term and there are 10 results and you don't know which one to pick because every single one of them probably has a different connotation... Maybe I picked the one with the connotation I wanted by accident.).
//Just watched the second half and it was a lot more enjoyable for me.

Uh, after this episode I got the feeling they will leave an open end. It's either going to be a soft, anime original wrap-up or just a loose end.

They've faked his death several times this season, but this time is different.
The rakugo deaths were more about him still having things or people to live for. This time? He's content, and has come to terms with some of his demons. His approval of Konatsu's apprenticeship (compared to his refusal at the start of the season), him giving up rakugo and enjoying Yotaro's, the symbolism of the cherry blossoms... All the signs are there.
He still some unfinished business, but ultimately, death is unfair and his story is complete.

+ Show Spoiler +Yeah, I thought so as well. But with all the shitty cliffhangers shows tend to throw at the viewers, I'm still not 100 % convinced until I see what exactly happened next episode.

I'm not sure, but I feel like 3gatsu won't wrap up or end. I have a conspiracy theory that they'll get another season, although it might be delayed by Shaft doing a different series. Or maybe not.
In the meantime, Chihayafuru season 3 when?

I would love to have another season of 3gatsu. But then please make it to 3 seasons so my favorite arc gets animated too :D Or just adapt the whole thing please!

I'm not sure anyone here has watched it but I'm 16 episodes into Kaze no Shoujo Emily and I'm anjoying it quite a bit. Seems weird that a show like this is so low in popularity. Looking at the spring 2007 page, it's likely that it got overshadowed by all the great and/or popular stuff that was airing that season: TTGL, Darker than Black, Claymore, Seirei no Moribito, Dennou Coil, Bokurano, Terra e... as well as some stuff from the previous season like Code Geass, Death Note and Nodame Cantabile. Holy moly.

Hopefully when the manga has settled the romance issue. Does anybody no how much material there is to adapt right now?

Holy shit, is this for real? One of my favourite shows! Too bad the original director is dead, he did a fantastic job. The key visual doesn't make me feel very optimistic though. That's not Kino but some sexualised moe girl... : / I hope they do the series justice. It's one of those shows that's doesn't work well if they mess up the atmosphere, minimalistic way of display and Kino's attitude. Let's see what kind of staff they are going to hire.
You should really watch the original btw.

Discovered Watamote and started watching it. I have a feeling that it's going to be similar to Welcome to NHK, maybe I am wrong ^^
Any other anime in the same genre (talking about no-life / losers / neet)?
|
I don't think welcome to the NHK and watamote are at all similar
one deals with serious anxiety and depression the other deals with a socially awkward teenager that'd sooner blame anyone but herself
