I actually like both shows, especially Ao Haru Ride, in the beginning. Shigatsu's performances in the anime were great. But the drama, drama-comedy intersections and the character-writing killed it for me. I don't know if you experienced some of the original zoo polls but 1-2 years ago you knew there was a zoo poll going on when you came home and the thread had a few pages worth of new posts or so, lol. | ||

Well, some people have less of a problem with this but I really don't like it when they work hard on setting up a certain mood with music, art and conversation and then suddenly destroy it with silly comedy that's completely unnecessary and unfitting. Shigatsu was especially bad in this regard imho. Having heart-felt moments disrupted by Kaori suddenly screaming and kicking the MC is just as bad as it gets. | ||
