Some nice shots of Aki, but I still don't like her one bit. Not that Masamune is much better... Kuzu no Honkai is dropped, I personally don't find it interesting. Doesn't mean I find it bad though. | ||

+ Show Spoiler + the one episode where they finally went to the city to face Mujo. Liked it overall and like the clash of the different personalities. I was a bit disappointed that they killed cougar though :/ As for Scheris, once they brought Mimori into the picture and showed us her past with Ryuhou, it was all over for her. Sacrificing herself for her love, noble but meh. Still was a touching scene. Not sure how I feel about Ryuhou beating that alter though. They said that it was the embodiment of that world, didn't they? I took it to mean that it had what was essentially unlimited power so compared to Ryuhou who was drawing energy from that world, it should be un-defeatable? Anyone care to clarify on this point? Otherwise, fights were great, animation | ||

Otherwise, fights were great, animation Speaking of Scryed, I recently finished Scryed Alteration, which is the double movie versions of the show. Overall, Alteration isn't as good as the series, and thats squarely because of pacing. Too much stuff is just cut out, causing scenes to be jumbled up or abrupt. On the other hand, the few new scenes were nice. There was more scenes with Staight Cougar and showing his past with Kazuma. And Mujo actually has screentime in the first half (unlike the TV series, where he just sorta shows up in the second half). The ending is also different. Like in several ways. I won't spoil the ending of it, but its kind of happier, I guess? Because of which, it doesn't have as much of an impact, so I'm not sure if its better. I don't think the two movies are worth watching just for the ending, though. About your question: + Show Spoiler + I'm not sure if there is a set in stone answer to it, but this is my interpretation. The White and Black Alter User is the embodiment of the other world in so much as hes like an avatar/conduit to the other world. And what Ryuhou did was break the faucet. So instead of outright overpowering or destroying it, he destroyed its ability to manifest in world. But yeah, Scryed is great. People who haven't watched it should watch the series. Bigfan and Sentenal approved. | ||
