+ Show Spoiler + Who the heck was the dude from Uta1 then? Was he also a random human guy who survived? Was this background also revealed in Uta1 and does it tie in to it as well?

He was a human scientist working for some company then stumbled about the recovered fossil of the Wei being. Other human didn't want anyone to know about it then shot him in the head in front of the fossil. This caused the guys blood to go onto the fossil which awakened it. Wei made pact with dead dude that he'd revive him if he gave Wei his body. Then there's a massive time skip where you find him waking up after cryosleep. Turns out earths surface can't be inhabited by humans but now Mask dude has a special body so they try study him to figure out a way to modify themselves to be able to live on earth. Eventually one of the scientists feels sorry for Mask man so he lets him escape with the one animal girl. The other scientists track them down and kill Animal girl + her baby. This causes Mask man to rage awakening the sleeping Wei being powers which he uses to turn all humans to slime. Animal people and Mask man leave scientist place. The end. Nothing about his background is really explained or if there were move human facilities below ground. Didn't even explain what on earth the ancient being thing was and why it had godlike powers.

Doesn't seem like it because he doesn't know anything about the slime thing. He must have missed all that when he was holed up.....but his story seemed like he was the one who raised all the animal people himself...does this mean the mc from uta 1 founded another country then?

I haven't watched Uta2. I just finished Uta 1 the other day. Don't know if Emperor guy is one in Uta1 or new dude. + Show Spoiler + The MC from Uta 1 basically splits into 2 after he does the slime thing. One of them sleeps while the other roams around creating his ideal world view then the roles reverse eventually. What actually happened after he turned the humans to slime isn't quite known. We just see him splitting and then all the animal people leaving the facility. The temple where the angel people live(If they still live there in Uta2) is where the old human facility was and where the slime people are. I think the slimes all die at the end of Uta1 when the 2 parts of the MC fight each other. At the end of Uta1 the MC forces his other self into the one body then he gets sealed by the Black winged Angel and her sister + Erururu. Oh it's worth noting that his other half is more chaos orientated so when he was awake the countries would be more warlike then when MC is awake he's more peaceful. So it's entirely possible there's a bunch of countries founded by either of them that we don't know about.

What if... what if it's the Shirobaku team in the sense that it's the girls finally putting out the revised and better movie version of their school project anime? Also, not Glasslip (that was done before Shirobako) - they were busy getting Charlotte (eh), Haruchika (not what I thought it might be), and Kuromukuro (no idea) done. Plus maybe some more work on the side for other projects. Based on Charlotte and Haruchika so far - yes they should have just kept going with Shirobako. what's wrong with Charlotte? :S

Started out promising but the constant being dragged down by his guilt and the terrible balance between seriousness and humour kinda destroyed the show. The music bits were really nice though and the characters overall weren't too bad. It just started to feel like a drag at some point (can't remember which episode though). OP and ED for the shows are great though! what's wrong with Charlotte? :S Mostly the ending. It's not a bad show.

What a ride. + Show Spoiler + That was an absolutely amazing show. Episode 71 and 73 were indeed masterpieces, absolutely brilliant episodes. RIP Grimmer ; ;7 I honestly don't have too much to say though, it was just an all around great experience.

but I also thought they did a good job of showing bits and pieces of his adventure all over the world. Could they have used more episodes? sure but I don't see the pacing of the final episode as anything terrible or subpar tbh. Rather, I enjoyed that particular more than some of the earlier episodes.

In recent month saw few shows, both good and bad. Shidonia no Kishi was quite ok, even tho I admit it wasn't great I had real fun watching it and actually wait for next season (hopefully it will happen). Texhnolyze was actually damn great. Grimm, dark, deep and not easy to follow with some concepts. I'm still not sure if I actuallly understood some story elements and I love it. Overlord was quite nice too, refreshing, even tho it had problems deciding if it wants to go more heavy on humor or "grimmness" of main (anti)hero. And now I just saw Ga-Rei: Zero and I have deja vu with Mirai Nikki. Altho GRZ ain't so bad and full of plot holes that makes zero sense, it was still terribly mediocre at best. What I can't comprehend is all the '9/10' and '10/10', 'best anime evah' reviews/opinions. ~~ On January 31 2016 08:37 Unleashing wrote: Just finished Monster. Unbelievable they managed to keep things so interesting and realistic in many ways for so many episodes. We need more shows like this.

I figured that it must be something big but that the current race are decoys that were created by the emperor who used to be a human and survived humanity's destruction after the disaster and subsequent earth bombardment was beyond what I thought the anime was going towards. Lots of information this episode but really sad overall.

It was, glad you liked it! I still have to rewatch and show the series to a friend someday but considering our time schedules and list of animes that might not be before 2020 or so... : / @Numy: You should pick it up again. I didn't know you never finished it...
