@NUMY: I don't think that's out of place. I mean if a girl accuses somebody of doing perverted actions on her in public and screams for help (ok this is only assuming that the guy is actually doing perverted things and trying to not get caught.) and there were people around and he didn't defend and it also looked like the guy was doing perverted stuff of the girl.
uhm let me link a video of a sample scenario
+ Show Spoiler [the video] +just found this randomly in youtube but i;m sure you had heard news of dudes like this getting caught before It's a bit different (and maybe a bit too much of an example) but it's still perverted act, imagine if somebody got caught doing this in public. Yeah if he got out unscatched he would possibly be in the police station right now being questions. If i was a girl and i caught somebody doing this. I'd be be saying shit like "what the fuck are you doing you creep" or attacked him or maybe both, it's wrong to go for violence but i would certainly the urge hit him would certainly be there.

Were all the pictures I saw from when he went to Oktober Fest also bad. Guess he's going to jail too! Dammit Goody where do you live that's so weird. Girls and boys sleeping together but never doing anything, polygamy running rampart, taking public photos lands you beaten up in jail. To be honest, people I know told me the same thing when I was photographing kids playing on the street, alongside other things. "This can get you into jail" or "What will you say if they accuse you of being a creepy pedo in court"... I was like "what...". I looked it up and at least here it is true: You aren't allowed to photograph people that are identifiable on the actual photo without their permition. That is true as long as those people are the main object of the photo. A permition however can be done silently. Smiling into the camera would e enough for example. Germany... In regards to Shigatsu I agree with Unleashing: The only person that would be in trouble is Kaori for beating him up. If it's not self-defence, beating someone up is never lawful. + Show Spoiler [Legal stuff] +Here as long as it's public domain you waiver any rights to privacy. Children is where things kind of leave the legal aspect and go more into the social aspect. It's technically legal without requiring permission but in reality you want to get permission of parents just in case. Think it's one of those things that have changed over the years. Now pedophilia hysteria is quite high so people are quick to freak out where as before it was seen as perfectly fine which is maybe why the law is technically fine with it but application of it may not go your way.
Yeah, I think you are right regarding children. I find it very disturbing that people call you a pedo as soon as you look at children. I decided for myself to always ask permition from now on when doing photos of children but I don't think that won't happen very often. I usually don't like people in my photos...

Monster 61 + Show Spoiler +This series is so tense, every other episode it feels like the series could be over in just 2-3 episodes but i know there's still 13 episodes to go
Also i'm very impressed by the detail this author went into regarding political and racial tensions in these parts of europe in the 80s/90s It's rare for anime to be that accurate.

Where are you at exactly? I don't really remember what exactly happened in which episode except for the first few ones and the last few ones. But yeah, I remember how it began to ramp up from around 50 or so. Episode 71 might be my favourite episode of the whole show, closely followed by 73, so let me know your thoughts once you finished it up!

And Anna just remembered something important after being hypnotized by Dr. Gillen and has decided to go end it all herself. Eva was going to go back to the older psychologist and then clear tenma's name but ended up deciding to try and kill Johann herself instead.

Shirobako Twitter Account Posts About 'Unrelated' Movie Project
[...] source: www.animenewsnetwork.com
I just don't get what they're doing... Shirobako was really popular, they said they have enough material for a 2nd season and we even had rumors that it was planend to be 4 cour from the get-go (idk about that).
And then we have the director saying that a season 2 is impossible right now because they have too much other stuff already scheduled in the next years... so we're not getting season 2 because PA works wants to do Glasslip or <insert any other show like that> ?
And now this tweet about a movie, on Shirobako twitter because it's the team behind Shirobako doing it (?) but it's apparently not related at all.
Just grab those free monies and give us S2 ffs...
Time to go back to youtube and have ema dancing on endless loop

Are you talking about the first show or the second? Also felt that the episode should have come sooner. Honestly feel the show was just plagued by way too much dicking around compared to story.

Holy crap that was sure a lot of arguing about one of the most cliche things in the anime industry. Since when does perverted or perceived perverted stuff NOT result in physical violence? lol its such a common trope in anime that idek why you would argue about it.

Being a common trope doesn't mean it can't be poorly used (Or just bad in general). There are also plenty of series that don't use said trope.

I just don't personally see why i'm supposed to get super engaged and care about her illness and eventual death when the series does such a poor job of making the viewers connect with her as a character. Am i supposed to care solely because she's dying? Hey, it works for SAO, right?

Just seems silly to argue about it and give Shigatsu criticism over that specifically when its so common. You can argue that the trope itself is dumb and that you don't like interaction (fyi I think its dumb as well) but to harp on its use so hard in one show seems nit picky. There is plenty of things to go ham about on Shigatsu, that is a rather minor thing,

There is plenty of things to go ham about on Shigatsu, that is a rather minor thing, I disagree, if it was just another generic harem romcom show i wouldn't have cared or brought it up. But shigatsu tries to be more serious and have a dramatic build-up, which i feel things like the shitty slapstick humor just ruins even further.
|
I don't think the attempt at humor was bad for what they were trying to do. I agree that it was executed poorly though,
|
You can have humor or more lighthearted elements in a series focused around drama. But slapstick humor is probably the last kind of humor i'd choose, and as you said the execution definitely didn't help.
Edit: But we'll just have to agree to disagree, i guess.

... wait. What if... what if it's the Shirobaku team in the sense that it's the girls finally putting out the revised and better movie version of their school project anime?
Also, not Glasslip (that was done before Shirobako) - they were busy getting Charlotte (eh), Haruchika (not what I thought it might be), and Kuromukuro (no idea) done. Plus maybe some more work on the side for other projects.
Based on Charlotte and Haruchika so far - yes they should have just kept going with Shirobako.

Not all are translated (I think up to chapter 35) but its really close to being over. That's great news, thanks.

Working my way through Monster atm, at episode 56, hoping to finish it today. What a good anime. Not sure what i'll pick up afterwards though. Either something lighthearted and fun or maybe i'll just continue with something serious. Monster was great. I really need to finish more Urasawa works besides that and 20CB sometime.

well the tweet in question:
literally first part: SHIROBAKOとは無関係ですが "this is completely unrelated to SHIROBAKO, but"
but yeah I can't really make sense of this tweet. Like ANN has in their news, no idea what "this differs from the TV version" refers to, no idea why they'd put this on the official Shirobako twitter if it is unrelated to Shirobako etc
