As for the Yuri Ship. I am an Asuka fan so this doesn't really phase(?) me. I spent like half an hour skimming through seitokai yakuindomo to make a spreading-legs-pun but I can't find it and don't know what it was
I'll wait.

Kara no kyoutai + Show Spoiler +Things change as the serie progresses! I'm only at Movie #5 and I grew to love the show! Can't stand Kokutou though. He doesn't deserve Shiki, for Shiki is the superior woman!

Kokutou isn't bad. He may be bland and not memorable, but he's not an idiot at least.

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo would to me be a better romance than Toradora if it wasn't for that fucktard MC. Mashiro best grill

I feel like the mystery pretty much disappeared once he discovered more information about why Mei was isolated. Maybe its just me but it felt like the show was trying to draw our attention to the dolls, a lot early on because its related to Mei but then they stopped. I would've liked to actually see them utilize all that stuff some more. For example, the doll that fell when the MC was taking to Mei in the doll shop, if they made some changes to it, it can easily resemble one of the dead characters. It would stir the show in a different direction though. One thing they did well is the atmosphere. The music set it up pretty well and the desperation among the students after hearing the recording was chilling. Due to my experience with horror movies, I kept on expecting something to jump out haha but nothing ever did The MC killing Meiko was something... I knew something was off about her but I wasn't sure what it was. Good anime and would recommend though I would caution those with weak stomachs about some of the really bloody and disturbing scenes. I never understood why they thought that a mystery based entirely on narrative tricks in text can work in anime form. Not that it even tried to work in mystery. Good question. There was no mystery for me past the part indicated in my post so it certainly failed on that front lol.

Watch the whole series. Its not simply a case of being a serial killer psychopath. Not even close. I would wait to watch the whole series, understand the chronology of events watching the movies in production order and then ask questions. Otherwise you will just be spoilered and most of it wont make sense to you anyway.

Finally gave in and started watching DanMashi (Picking up girls in a dungeon or some shit lol). Had to see why everyone was freaking out about this Hestia chick. She's pretty awesome but I actually super dig the main character. It's like SAO except it's not a game and that's everyday life. Main character isn't immediately super OP like SAO and has to actually work hard everyday trying to get better. Another one to add to my list of weekly anime to watch... Up to like 5 now...

After watching the first episode of Birdy Decode, it just clicked for me how many anime start out with the whole "mysterious girl shows up out of nowhere and changes some teenage boy's life" trope

Though I guess for a bunch of guys out there this kind of thing happens (though to a less extreme extent). Also, mysterious women are often quite intriguing at least initially.

I don't mean that they have magical powers or have extreme personalities. I mean that for a guy, it isn't too uncommon for a woman to suddenly appear into his life and captivate his heart. Changing him forever. People can have tremendous transformative effects on others and this process may be slow or nearly instantaneous.

As others have said watch the whole series first. The second movie I think is the 1st one chronologically so the Shiki of then is quite different to how Shiki lands up being. I mean sure if Shiki met me she'd prob stab me and tell me to piss off but dammit sometimes love hurts ok! Kokutou is quite interesting in his blandness. He's kind of the "straight-man" while being completely insane himself. Normally that kind of character I'd loathe but it fits quite well in the series. + Show Spoiler +Also SHIKI is a bro, dude is just too solid.
