Author even pretty much killed the chances of a harem ending too. | ||

Hell he could marry 1 officially then the rest stay with the couple anyway. + Show Spoiler + Multiple reasons actually 1: The idea of marrying just 1 and then just having the rest live with him seems pretty shitty towards the girls that he didn't marry, no matter how you put it he picked one above the others. 2: He already brushed off the idea when Suu suggested it. 3: This does take place in pseudo japan where polygamy is illegal. 4: His marriage is meant to serve as a form of proof that it can work and meant to be representative for other couples that want to get married 5: Lamia villages were forced to stop their tradition of sharing a man 6: We had an entire chapter about how Miia hated her culture of sharing a man with others and how she had moved away from it and didn't want Darling to be shared with a lot of other people, to have a harem ending after having an entire chapter with that as a semi-focus would be either incredibly shitty writing or be the writer just not caring about his character(In this case Miia) Overall it also just seems unlikely, don't get me wrong, harem endings can be good but that's only when all girls and the MC are onboard for it. That's why the harem aspect is good in DxD imo, because all the girls are happy and content with it. That'd clearly not be the case for monster musume. Not just talking Miia here, Cerea is clearly against that idea too, look at the chapter with her and rachnee in focus from way back. Having an inconclusive ending is also incredibly unlikely given the fourth point up there, it's actually semi important in the world they live in that he makes a decision eventually even though in a harem manga that could take another 80 chapters. Disregarding who my favourite character is, Miia ending seems the most likely as well, that's how i see it anyway. I'm not exactly sure how the author is gonna conclude it but i very seriously doubt a harem ending and an inconclusive ending is even more unlikely outside of the series getting axed. The solution is clear, we clone the darling. | ||

Its a lewdy lewd lewwwwdddd series so ofc its going to be harem end, your not supposed to pay attention to character details in the story cause plooooooooot. And the plot demands a harem orgy of monster girls at the end. | ||

I would post some of his previous works but they're far too NSFW. And i also think it's giving him far too little credit if you think you can just ignore the focus of an entire chapter  Inconclusive ending, incredibly unlikely. Harem ending, almost just as unlikely imo. Harem endings are only good if all girls are in on it. Otherwise it's a patchwork ending where you know multiple of the girls end up unhappy. Cerea and Miia have clearly displayed dislike for the idea of a harem and they together with Rachnee are probably the only three really in the running for the Darlingbowl. I mean, not that there's anyone except Miia that's gonna win obviously, you can quote me on that when it ends unless it got axed | ||

Stories that result in them moving in with other hosts or something similar where eventually it's just Miia and Suu left because Suu is literally pet-tier. For example i could easily imagine Rachnee eventually reuniting with her original host family after working out their differences and remaining good friends with the rest of the characters. Or papi moves into the forest with her dryad friend and does whatever a birdbrain like her would do. As i said I don't think this will happen soon, but i think it or something like it will happen eventually. MC will have to make a choice too eventually, that's too big a point of the series to really just ignore it. Considering the author's track record with monogamous relationships and how multiple of the characters would be against the harem i seriously doubt it'll happen. But obviously it wont go from status quo to throwing every other girl out in a single chapter, i never implied that either His previous work is also why i'm so disappointed with Lala, the dullahan in his original work was so cute and Lala is just some chuuni character that's so boring the author sometimes forget she exists. Rachnee is pretty much 1:1 of prototype rachnee/his original arachne character. Cerea too, neither of them really changed from his original work lol. Except maybe cerea is not as tsun. | ||

Honestly I found Chihayafuru so boring I couldn't make it past the 1st 5 episodes. The only reason I haven't axed it completely is because it gets high ratings from the people here and I hear it picks up later. | ||
