I know you guys can do better than this. no sent it has way too many problematic issues in its script writing and characters' dialogues and their actions related to their personalities. The whole thing is a bloody mess at this stage. + Show Spoiler + Like for example the latest episode, the mc dude shouldnt have gone under the seadeck base to fight in the first place (and he knew exactly why and he is the one who is keep saying they should protect the seadesk at all cost/nothing can risk damaging it) and he did; and then my brain just exploded when the villain dude keep saying he shouldn't use lazer and then he did (he said he cant stop doing rofl but clearly he could, he is the one firing the shit jesus) and then he immediately regret it (and proceed to shout 'no!! please water stop leaking out please!' rofl). I wish I can describe the whole mess better but I have no words for this show anymore. | ||

Thats why i said it is giving me headache. The way that the characters talk/how their character developments are perceived by the audience have absolutely nothing to do with their actions, at all. It is not like they are rushing the story or something as well so that makes me scratch my head really. I seriously want to know how the jap gundam netizens think about it or is the original source is the same as well rofl. | ||

The expectation that everyone needs to be sensible or do what they say in a story is a flawed expectation, IMO. The writing is obtuse at times, I can acknowledge that. It can be hard to understand, and that is the writing's fault. But at the same time, with enough effort put in by the viewer, can sense be made of the show? Yes. I mean there is a copy-pasta post in /m/ that gets put out regularly, explaining pretty much everything that has gone on in the show and why, and it all taken from the animated material. The story, quite similar to Claymore in certain aspects, was decent enough when it was all about Humanity vs Nova. However, the latest arcs have steered the serie from that fight for survival to Humanity vs Humanity, and this is seriously annoying because it feels like everything that happened up until now meant nothing. It's like the «enemies/nova» disappeared (Assuming I didn't miss something from the story, which is possible as I read fast and I read multiple manga at the same time, so I can forget things). The main characters, that were super badasses, now have become some annoying weaklings (or barely get any action), as the serie introduces more and more OP characters. Legendary Pandara, Valkyries... | ||

I said that i will stop watching but i will probably finish the show anyway....6episodes of headaches to go.... I thought that it is based on novel? UC has quite some (old) original novels (and rarely manga too). | ||

Everything else went anime turned book. IMO if the dialogue and plot is bothering you that much, just flip the off switch on your brain, and enjoy the battles. Plot and writing aside, G Reko has some of the most innovative and interesting mecha battles in anything since Victory Gundam, in addition to looking great. And I'm talk about actual unique and interesting stuff done with their fights, unlike Aldnoah Zero or something. | ||

Also what do you mean about original source? In my opinion, the characters being crazy is not a detriment to the show. However, they are also bipolar as hell, and I do take issue with that. Having a show about crazy people is fine! Hell, it's the entire basis for stuff like Coyote Ragtime Show. But even there, their actions often have some logic to it. In G-Reco, it's really hard to figure out what their goals are in general, and that makes it difficult for me to relate to a lot of the cast. I think I'm far enough into the show to finish it regardless of what happens, and I do like a lot of the fights, but the story is a real sticking point for me. | ||

We have an Elite combat squad from the most technological advanced space people ever and the leader of it is some kind of super "special" person.. Fighting under the 'space-ocean' he keeps 'cutting' off those 'wires' over and over. Bellri keeps going "is he an idiot!? he can't do this! We can't fight here!" Meanwhile the Elite Solider keeps flailing around going "muhahaha see my lasors! oh those explosion? that shit i'm destroying its fine *keeps lasering for 2 minutes*... OH SHIT I JUST DID THE BIGGEST TABBOO IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE HOW CAN I LIVE WITH MYSELF?!?! IT'S OUTRAGEOUS HOW ANYONE WOULD DO THIS" And i seriously can't relate to any faction. Every faction is in it for themselves. They hate and go to war against other Factions but they never kill anyone. Heck when they take someone as prisoner they let them freely roam around their ships and occasionally put them in mobile suits and make them fight their own faction lol. + Show Spoiler + I wonder what will happen to the 2 people of the crew that drugged their combat pilot, hijacked the space ship, help their enemies and try to take the Gundam. Seeing how the show has gone so far i'm expecting that both of them get back on the ship and get promoted for saying they're sorry lol | ||
