Eh, it was fine for the most part, but some episodes were really bad. Also, most people didn't like the visual changes in some episodes (5 and 10 iirc).

As far as ecchi fantasy shows go, it's close to if not the best ive seen in the past year or so. I love the flashbacks into their previous lifes (that's where all the best fantasy comes from)....especially the frozen city flashback where he was a mage of some sort...Really cool...lol its ok, the pink hair'd girl is annoying though. Plus I find that method of casting spells with the chanting while spelling it out kinda silly. Dark hair girl is nice though. Character designs are pretty iffy as well. Rolling Girls by contrast, I like the art and general character designs a lot better. The captain's armor was pretty cool looking. The bigger story is starting to come together, though the ending to the little arc was meh.

I agree with you on the pink hair girl, but the spell casting is something that I like. It was also in SAO Alfheim and i didn't think it was bad there either. It's sort of like the downfall of using magic, you can't just be ridiculously powerful there has to be a balance, and that balance comes with having to take time to cast the spell without distraction otherwise the spell doesn't work. It's in a lot of fantasy books...two that come to mind are the dragonlance saga and Paolini's Eragon series. As for character designs, the only one that i don't really like is the pink hair girl.. I like that silver streak in MC's hair, it's pretty...lol And while i'm also enjoying rolling girls, i don't think it's comparable b/c it's not ecchi fantasy, it's more like post-apocalypse fantasy. Also, the captains armor looked cool, but it didn't fit her like at all.

I wasn't comparing it to Rolling Girls btw, was just jumping off my last point about not liking some of the character designs in World break and just transitioning to Rolling Girls by starting off on the same topic.

Unless its Sumika in Muv-Luv I've been enjoying Re;Birth 1 a lot. Its a huge step up from the original Neptunia that its remaking, at the very least.

Chanting the whole spell through to completion is par for the course, but the air spelling doesn't do anything but make it look weird imo. I didn't mind it in SAO because all the characters did were chant and the words appeared line by line as they were completed.
