Seems so weird after watching the anime and seeing it basically jump to when they were at floor 70 (I thought they would at least do his 1st guild since that seemed to be a big deal for Kirito). IIRC it was because it was originally just a single novel entry for some LN contest. Then it got popular, and he kept writing it?

Even then it doesn't really make much sense. My theory is he had an idea and premise but didn't really know how to fill it so when the contest came around he just went with what he had which was the beginning and the end. Feel like he didn't really plan his story beforehand which I guess for a novice author isn't that bad a mistake. I think the saddest part is the popularity of the work. If it wasn't as popular or publish/him weren't as greedy he could take time to really plan out and write a good story(If he's capable of that) but the cash cow was too big. Can't really fault a guy for cashing in on popularity
A short story generally is self contained enough to make sense where as SAO 1st LN isn't even that. It feels like a summary of story instead of an actual story. I believe he won that contest which is pretty weird.
Also is anyone watching Yona that has read the manga? I heard there wasn't a lot of chapters out and yet the anime is still going. Hoping they don't pull anime original end again.

Regarding SAO LN, I thought he got page limit to follow thus the short Aincrad arc. iirc despite the cutting short the story he didnt make it for the contest hence it became web novel and it all started from there. Not sure if page limit is one of the big reason for such choppy Aincrad arc though, at least the Progressive added a lot to the story l

There are 67 chapters of Yona out that have been translated so far. They have been following the manga pretty closely from what I can tell, but it really doesn't seem like it will end soon.

It's like we get it already, quit it! lol. Good episode otherwise. + Show Spoiler +Great that she finally realized her feeling and I think the setting was perfect as well. Shirobako was also great as well. + Show Spoiler +New characters and it was cool to see all those different meetings though the girl and bear parts became a little annoying by the 4th/5th meeting lol. I am more upset about what they will do to Kaori at the end + Show Spoiler +like Kaori would be totally fine at the end of the series despite all the flag thanks to power of musical friendship, or she just ends up with something "minor" like paralysis Iirc Miragee also feels similar about those flags. Other than that, I think it's kinda okay, although if they start flagging more than a million times in a single episode it would really be annoying. Also, obligatory comment about the number of death flags on Kaori's head Regarding this season, what are the top 3 must watch that is not a sequel? I can't follow many new series after including ongoing ones, so may be just some of the best show first while the rest can be caught up later So far I'm enjoying Death Parade and Kancolle (boats) the most. Seems like the general consensus as well. Still meh on Saekano and not a fan of Rolling Girls (well I'm only 1 ep in tho). Is Kancolle something enjoyable even without background knowledge (aka play the game)? I did enjoy the fake/moe boat show (Arpeggio), and also UBW despite not reading the VN yet.
it's the #1 ranked anime from winter according to Sony! based on people recording it via PS / PC
On a more serious note: It does look a lot better than Arpeggio whenever they're not fighting as in no CG. When they are using CG it's the same issue as fake boats had. But the fact that it looks really good without CG contrasts the CG just more which makes it seem even worse whenever you see faces or hair of the girls during fights... Other than that it is referencing the game A LOT. I thought you can't enjoy the show without knowing the game at first because if you don't know it it's just a random moeblob but there's apparently a bunch of people who are watching it without knowing it in here. Wikt even started playing the game after being hooked on the show.
TL;dr: If you don't have an issue with it being less mecha and as such seeing girls, in humanoid form, firing arrows that turn into fighter planes you might like it. It will be pretty weird to watch if you don't know the game though.

Ghoul, Death, and Piano Death are the only three shows I'm watching. I have Rolling Girls DL'd, but haven't watched it yet. I hear it's the bees knees though.

Just finished Koisome Momiji manga.
+ Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/4U8B4J8.jpg?1) First 2 images are the first chapter. The last image is the last chapter. Cute how they reused the first scene as the ending. Happy ending.
It's quite short, lighthearted and kinda harem~ish. It has a love triangle factor.
Speaking of throwing bodies at MC anime. + Show Spoiler [Saekano 2] + MC is literally trying to immortalize that he fell inlove with the (boring) heroine and not admitting it. (well that's how the previous episode has gone)
MC-Kun you are not supposed to change somebody , you are supposed to accept for who they are. Reality != expectation lol
MC and heroine banter is hilarious .. the two just don't connect at all lol

I thought the CG in Arpeggio was fine.

Hahah Nisekoi 155, free for all! Onodera trying to be sneaky.
Edit: Holy crap, just realized there are multiple short specials of Nozaki-kun!

The people CG in Arpeggio was anywhere between meh and horrible. Cancerboats at least has Orange producing the CGI, so its like the one thing I can't fault the anime about.
The actual SAO part of SAO is as mess because whats his name is a hack, and got lucky on an idea. The SAO anime butchered the pacing by adding stories from Progessive, Vol2, and volume...5? to the beginning. And its kind of hilarious so many things that are relevant in later volumes were just side stories. I just can't say enough how much of a hack the guy is.

Yea if I hadn't had watched the anime I would be like "ok, why is this famous/smart/strong/cute chick randomly attaching herself to the mc since they apparently barely know each other". None of the slow buildup that shows their previous interactions or even the events that shaped Kirito's world view.
Basically just went to "oh nos we are all trapped, i has to survive" to 2 years later "eh we are all kinda used to this world now and now I have this cute chick taking interest in me".

Man the farmer's girl in garo is absolutely adorable. + Show Spoiler +I thought the episode felt a bit dragged out but it wasn't a bad episode at all, the mecha-garo fight was pretty neat

+ Show Spoiler [Death Parade ep3] +Really enjoyed this episode. I'm glad that there are happy endings as well, even though it was sad at the same time. I was really worried that it would turn into something bad or creepy at some point. Oh and I like Decim's jokes, lol. So dry.

I don't understand why I give every harem show a chance every season. I never learn.

It's such a shame, I think the face looks quite odd.
+ Show Spoiler +I ended up getting Signum last year and I don't regret it one bit.

Edit: Lol, okay, didn't even notice you were from Sweden....

Saekano 2: where the main MC basically yells at a girl about how bad she is because she doesn't live up to his ideal for half the episode lol. Someone posted how two of the girls are huge bitches to him but so far he won't gain any sympathy from me unless they some some really horrible stuff to him (and I doubt with this kind of show it will be beyond the normal type of stuff that happens in these kinds of shows). He is also like a weird combination of creepy and oblivious lol.
Dat yandere Nisekoi 155 + Show Spoiler +

Garo ep 15 was soooooo good. I didn't know what to think at the start of the episode, but it gave me everything I'd ever want. Thank you, based Garo. I'm perfectly okay with you not being grimdark anymore.
