He "recently" (I believe it was after aldnoah finished airing) gave an explanation to how his ranking works. Basically he uses only 5/10-9/10 out of all possibilities. So slightly less than 8/10 would be 7/10 which is already not really enjoyable for him.
yeah !
anything that close to my 6 though are usually almost unwatchable or i just don't enjoy it (but had some fun moments) or it's borderline terrible
i don't rate the unwatchable stuff
Whats wrong with using the rest of the scale? If you only use 4 of the 10 numbers, any number you give starts to become pretty pointless. There is nothing wrong with, for example, giving something that is "almost unwatchable" or "I don't enjoy it" something like a 3 or a 4.
Well i would give a show 1,2,3 or a 4 no problem. But i have yet to encounter a show so horrible that's literally unwatchable for me.(i guess i shouldn't have used "almost unwatchable" seems to grave of a description .. it's like "dislike" and "hate" all over again)
Even if i complain alot i usually still watch it and enjoy(or even just oki~esh) aspects of it. As long as i have aspects that i enjoy from the show i'm gonna give it at least 6.
It's just personal preference in scoring shit.
have you tried watching School Days?
I gave that a 2 to open up the possibility to have something ranked even lower than that. While unlikely it is possible so I couldn't rank it a 1 despite wanting to do so.
Not completely but i have seen some portions of the show as well as the ending. And i am not interested in watching too. I enjoy watching NTR type of romance from time to time but not this one.
Seems like a show that i will feel nothing but rage.
try Walkure Romanze. I've got that rated at 2 as well, though I never managed to watch more than 2 episodes of that.
Uhm toad why am i gonna watch a terrible show ? i don't think the reasoning of trying out my rating system is a good reason to do so
i don't get to see shows below 6 probably because i never watch anything that i am not in the mood for .. if i'm not in the mood for some show i usually postpone that if it's acclaimed as a good series.
Thanks for the UBW clarifications. That was what I was thinking (masters thing was an assumption on my part) but got confused by Slaughter's first statement lol.
Grisaia being pretty faithful to VN so far. stuff being skipped but common route is so ridiculously long, can't blame them for that I guess.
edit: well they did a ton of foreshadowing at the end. not sure how I feel about #1 foreshadow being a bit obvious but #1 is #1 and they gave us #1 so that's pretty #1.

Watched Log S2. Is it me or the storytelling was weak compared to last season?
It kept jumping from one char to another, from one area to another. Hard to follow. It's like they wanted to give a few secs for all the returning char :S

This first ep was such a mess. I think they tried hard to give all these "preview" scenes to get you hyped to keep watching but it lands up just being really confusing to anyone that hasn't read the LN.

ya, the first LH S2 episode was a bit confusing but I also feel that they were somewhat trying to give us a small reminder of what happened in the final episode through a couple of shots (or something like that, can't remember lol).
man I hope that prince in cross ange gets the bent treatment too

TRC is a fantasy adventure with cameos of and tie ins to other CLAMP stuff, I liked it but the only sakura for me is Sakura Kinomoto the card captor and like many people my first anime crush.
Oh btw for anyone interested, seeing as the anime just completly left out the explanation why Jesus in magic Jesus is that dull. I don't think they left out the explanation to have it explained in the OVAs that are yet to come... that'd be just stupid but it IS possible that that's what they intend to do. Anyways, for those that want to know, everything in the spoiler was explained between 9school competition and the last arc in source if I recall correctly, maybe even earlier:
Tatsuya and Miyuka are really siblings. Tatsuya is not an Android. Miyuki was born a goddess of magic and Tatsuya was born completly talentless except for this one trademark magic of his. This was unacceptable for their aunt, Maya Yotsuba, the head of the Yotsuba family. Now the yotsuba's all happen to have some trademark magic that only that one person in question can use. For Miyuki it's that freezing magic that freezes the "soul", for Maya it would be her lightning thingie and so on. Tatsuya and Miyuki's Mom (that makes her the sister of Maya) happens to be a magical brain surgeon. So Maya went up to her and was like "yo sis, you see that failure of a son you've produced? Let's try and give him an artifical *part of the brain that's responsible for magic*" and his mom was like "yolo, let's do this"
But she can't just "add" something new. So she wiped out the parts of his brain that are in charge of "strong" emotions and replaced it with with something that makes him good at magic. Experiment was a failure btw but as a result he's still unable to feel any "strong" emotions, whatever that might be. They left one emotion in him though.
What I didn't understand why is Miyuki a goddess but limits her power? Also why doesn't she use the Yotsuba family name? Also can't she fix his brain now that they realize he's actually magic Jesus?

Tatsuya is being caller a "monster" by his aunt and she's very well aware of the fact that he could crush her any time no problem if he thinks that's necessary. As such the 1 emotion left in his brain is "love for his sister" [I think that, unlike Miyuki's love, this is just normal love you have for siblings/family and not romantic love but not sure].
With that they're trying to hold him in a bind because he wants the best for Miyuki while the majority of everyone who knows this is very much afraid of him. Also, they're literally binding him and using Miyuki to suppress his powers. Having that undone was the SuperSaiyan scene from either 2nd last or 3rd last episode. That apparently is taxing on Miyuki as well and as a result it kind of goes both ways.
She's not using the Yotsuba name because the Yotsuba don't want to have other people know who the next heir might be. Kind of to protect her and all the other people that might become the head of the family. For that they went to the lenghts of changing the name 四葉 (literally: four leaves), pronounced yotsu-ba to shiba which means exactly the same, four leaves just pronounced a little different. Kind of alike to "Toys R Us" rotating it's R in the title. (They did give it another spelling though, so the literal meaning would be something else when you read it). And THEN proceeded to put him to work in a company called FOR LEAVES TECHNOLOGY, owned by his father.
It has been mentioned that the braindmg can't be restored. Tatsuya can only go back 24hours in time to "heal" stuff and the magic from his mother was something unique.

ah, that's rough To undergo such a procedure and have your emotions removed after it then turn out to be really good. Wish he would just crush Maya to teach her a lesson (maybe some stern talk with his mom who also played with his life). You have to hand it to them though. They realized that they needed a way to keep him suppressed and used Miyuki to do it. Wonder if they'll ever explain this brain damage bit at some point. Feel really bad for them, thanks Toad! :/ lol.
