There are just too many inspirational speeches about friendship in the show. Didn't like it.(or maybe i am no longer used to watching it)
And akatsuki should not have any development in the romance department she should just keep doing assassin stuff. Minami(brown haired apprentice) fits better on the bill of romance.
Hime-chan is not dislikable. My problem with the show is that the parts close to the ending is not that great. And there are too many SoL parts of the show that i didn't care off that much.
8/10 Overall enjoyable show.
And i like this just slightly better than SAO season 1. I dislike SAO alot but the SoL parts of the show really put a hurt to my enjoyment of this show.
Also found some foreshadowing(i think?) in the last few minutes of the show when + Show Spoiler +
remember the NPC's who prevent PK's in towns. They showed one of them close-opening his fingers like it emphases that he has some kind of mind of some shit like that.

You really think the 8th grader better fits the bill for romance with a 20 something year old than another 20 something year old? Really? That's just creepy yo.

He "recently" (I believe it was after aldnoah finished airing) gave an explanation to how his ranking works. Basically he uses only 5/10-9/10 out of all possibilities. So slightly less than 8/10 would be 7/10 which is already not really enjoyable for him.
Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of Log Horizon. I watched the first ~12 episodes of the first season and thought it blows, way too much exaggeration and the glasses girl hunting Akatsuki was just bad. But I finished the anime like 2 months ago and thought it was good/decent in the end. As for the first episode of Season 2 - it was neither very good nor bad.
I prefered SAO 1 over Log Horizon 1, although SAO 1 was only really top good until the Asuna relation started, was still good until the SAO MMO was over and then was rather meh. The second season of SAO so far is a mix of meh and good as well, still far inferior to the early episodes of SAO which were great.

yeah !
anything that close to my 6 though are usually almost unwatchable or i just don't enjoy it (but had some fun moments) or it's borderline terrible

I dont even bother trying to rate shows now. Its either watchable or not.
Maybe once in a while, one will hit home like how Tonari did. But S2 will never come around, so fuck anime.
Well, I personally try to use the whole scala. But whether I drop yomething or not doesn't really depend on the rating for me. Sometimes animes can be very good for a long time, especially longer ones, but then suddenly become so bad I don't want to finish them. And then there are animes that are bad but still have parts I enjoy so I finish them. But in general I agree: Everything that lasts on <7 for longer than just a few episodes gets usually dropped by me.

I only think i have 2 series ranked lower than 3 that i finished.
That's how I handle it as well. Not only for shows but for everything else I rate, too.

i don't rate the unwatchable stuff
Whats wrong with using the rest of the scale? If you only use 4 of the 10 numbers, any number you give starts to become pretty pointless. There is nothing wrong with, for example, giving something that is "almost unwatchable" or "I don't enjoy it" something like a 3 or a 4.

Well i would give a show 1,2,3 or a 4 no problem. But i have yet to encounter a show so horrible that's literally unwatchable for me.(i guess i shouldn't have used "almost unwatchable" seems to grave of a description .. it's like "dislike" and "hate" all over again)
Even if i complain alot i usually still watch it and enjoy(or even just oki~esh) aspects of it. As long as i have aspects that i enjoy from the show i'm gonna give it at least 6.

It's just personal preference in scoring shit.
have you tried watching School Days?
I gave that a 2 to open up the possibility to have something ranked even lower than that. While unlikely it is possible so I couldn't rank it a 1 despite wanting to do so.

Not completely but i have seen some portions of the show as well as the ending. And i am not interested in watching too. I enjoy watching NTR type of romance from time to time but not this one.
Seems like a show that i will feel nothing but rage.

try Walkure Romanze. I've got that rated at 2 as well, though I never managed to watch more than 2 episodes of that.
