also finished madoka magica a while back ... the ending was kinda meh but the series itself was amazing.
from the current season im still eager to keep watching aldnoah and akame.
started to watch Maoyuu Maou Yuusha ... still not sure if its worth the time. gonna keep watching for now but i hope it gets a bit better.
The maoyuu anime is awful. Read the manga.
finished it in a binge-watching session last night ... it was fine ... kinda ... the ending is just what i expected ... not actually an ending and screams "READ THE MANGA!!!!". apart from that i liked the characters, except the hero who is just a stereotypical hero. all in all i had a good time ... i think ...
on a different note: are the madoka magica movies worth watching?
movies 1+2 are just a recap. That being said they have their pros and cons. The visuals are upgraded and make it look better is everything I can think of as pros when comparing it to the series. The story leaves out a couple of things and the music... quite honestly I preferred the set in the series. Example: I really liked that sayaka theme (in general) in episode 7 when she goes to decapitate the witch. If I recall correctly they changed that very little but put a choir on top of it and I just really didn't like most of it... tl;dr: don't watch movies 1+2 unless you really want to, in which case you probably wouldn't have asked in the first place.
Rebellion is a tricky one. I'd certainly say go watch it if you liked the series. It's a treat for the eyes and it's quite good. It's not a recap either and some scenes are really really good. Also from a visuals point of view it's amazing. Not going to spoil the story but it's a movie about Homura so go figure. I mean that in itself is good but sadly the last 30 minutes just weren't that great. All in all not as good as the series but still quite nice. tl;dr: If you liked the series go watch it
IS was ok just because the female characters were pretty solid as a whole but it was let down when they just would do stupid shit because they were tripping over each other to get the MC. That and the mech battles really hit their peak of being cool pretty early so you couldn't even get enjoyment out of that by the end. It went way down hill real fast. Nisekoi is far superior to IS.
All the people talking trash about Nisekoi are just dead inside.
