Haha, did you watch it becasue of my wallpaper? I thought it was really sad too after I watched it. However, the more I thought about it, I thought it was more refreshing feeling than sad. Grave of the Fireflies was sad though =(.

Yes. I did watch it because of your wallpaper.
And while I agree it was more refreshing, I'm a sucker for romances that don't work out. And this particular case, I was sad for a multitude of reasons.
By the way, I couldn't even finish Grave of the Fireflies. I was getting way too emotional in the first half to even finish.

hi anime peeps
im trying to track down an anime i barely remember (almost like a dream) and only saw one ep
probably first episode....a kid (14-20?) crash lands his aircraft (little airplane thing) into a flying island high in the sky and meets a girl who was practicing her magic powers (who lives in a tower or church?). fixes up the aircraft then they both (?) ride in it and it crashes down through the clouds again towards a new adventure....or something

Panty and Stocking is fucking weird. Art shifts everywhere. That transformation scene was pretty lol (Though I did enjoy it <.<). Is it bad that when they started reciting that verse, I immediately thought of DenYuuDen? 
Speaking of DenYuuDen, those shadow things are OP.
Edit: Baka-Tsuki picked up DenYuuDen? When did that happen?

Fall season looking pretty good. Really enjoyed Bakuman and P&S. Transformation scene was sooooo good. They need to stop putting in such catchy songs though, they've been going trough my head non stop all day lol.

I actually just watched it a few weeks ago myself. I was so incredibly moved. I cried.

Basically stuff thats good that happens to be anime, as opposed to "good anime".
Hated stuff like Death Note. Ugh. Guess I'm not a huge fan of modern anime tropes.
Any of you ever watch Claymore and Trinity Blood? Guess I kind of like them despite being relatively campy, though i hated berserk which looked similar to Claymore.

Well, probably because I primarily enjoyed Claymores visuals (same with trinity blood), and since I watched Claymore first I wasn't really that excited for a second run.
In all fairness they were probably around similar quality (in my opinion)
In general I dislike Anime which are incredibly character centric (what I would call mopey and self gratifying :/). Which describes like 90% of the anime produced after 2000 lol. I also tend to like creative/fucking awesome visual styles.

Nah, he's right; I'd definitely recommend it. It's a aboat the best anime I've ever seen.
