Yup, that's the link from the forum a few pages ago. Some great memories from the anime. It isn't a disaster, But it certainly is weaker than FZ -_- (yea I know, both weren't produced in the same conditions, etc.)

Also it always remind me of this: On August 01 2014 10:20 Sentenal wrote: So, your complaint about the design of the gruntbots is realism...? Really? I think the fact that they are giant fighting robots should give any mecha anime some leeway in terms of how silly some of their design decisions are. In this regard, I can't see how you could even possibly like the Penelope, considering it would probably destroy itself just by trying to move any of its joints. NP, hope you enjoy it. Its always nice to see someone praising Saber here. Sometimes it feels like I'm the only Saber fan on TLADT. I like Saber a lot, I just like Rin more. And that I don't like Fate route >.< Sure hope with new TV + movie we get some good Saber PVC. Rerelease + Show Spoiler + ![]()

I already know the plots to all the routes and the HF routes I am just like "whatever" Plus + Show Spoiler + Shirou killing corrupted Saber? Meh As for Fate Route 27 hours to complete ~_~ + Show Spoiler + It did a better job with explaining and showing the Shirou and Saber's motivations and relationship and how it changed then the anime. While the 1st H scene turned me off greatly because of the way it was handled (with the obvious yuri pandering BS) once the "magical transfer via sex" was established (I still say this makes no sense because sexual fluids is a stupid fluid for magic to concentrate in) the 2nd one in the Fate route really was nice for how they both reacted to it.Saber, still saying she can't return his feelings but could use the magic transfer as well as her wanting this dream, if only for the night. Shirou desperate to convince her and somewhat hurt by how she framed it but also allowing this dream to happen, if only for the night. Shirou is really the weak point, but then again the Fate universe isn't known for producing protagonists who are in the nice box of "likeable hero" so I guess he gets somewhat of a pass in the end, even though multiple times while playing I wished he would just die. Creating life is MAGIC so it makes sense that it can be one of the containers for holding and transferring mana!

but there's not really mecha. Show me the giant robot that guy climbs into and operates to fight with. I always imagined it was more of a supernatural power, and not a mecha b/c there's no like, engineers/technicians, no "pilots", and all that.

Nanoha's a mecha... there's no giant robot that a guy climbs into and operates with. That'd be a bit lewd actually. The robot is human sized.

I always imagined it was more of a supernatural power, and not a mecha b/c there's no like, engineers/technicians, no "pilots", and all that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mecha#Characteristics The word "mecha" (メカ meka?) is an abbreviation first used in Japanese of the word "mechanical". In Japanese, mecha encompasses all mechanical objects, including cars, guns, computers, and other devices. In this sense, it is extended to humanoid, human-sized robots and such things as the boomers from Bubblegum Crisis, the similar replicants of Blade Runner; even cyborgs can be referred to as mecha. The Japanese use the term "robot" (ロボット robotto?) or "giant robot" to distinguish limbed vehicles from other mechanical devices. and ![]()

On August 02 2014 03:33 Sentenal wrote: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mecha#Characteristics + Show Spoiler + and ![]() That definition just feels way too broad. Like you could basically label almost any anime as mecha using that definition, since they all of have something like that in one form or another. In any case, Alter Abilities are definitely more supernatural. The only really mecha thing in the whole show is Zetsuei (and possibly Straight Cougar's thing. But still, there's somebody like Kanami who scry's in her dreams...thats absolutely not mecha. I just feel like, just because there's one or possibly 2 instances of mecha's in the show...does not mean it should be labeled a "mecha" show.
