Been searching, but no avail. maidsama was pretty generic and over the top. despite all her achievements and strengths, the female protag is still a standard damsel in distress, and the male protag is just an emotionless white knight who gets the girl in the end. tonari is a more realistic portrayal of relationships/characters you might experience/meet in real life. well, as realistic as you can get in a shoujo. i felt the supporting cast was much stronger in tonari as well. regardless I enjoyed the generic shit out of both. kimi no todoke is more similar to tonari than maidsama if you're looking for that kind of thing | ||
