I think it's cause only the good shows or shows that are still running or shows that became really popular were remembered from the pre-2005 era.

Probably that. Or i could also have enjoyed most of the old shows since i grew up with those.
Wait that can't be right since dragonball is the show that introduced me to anime but i think it's one of the most terrible anime of all time and i would never watch any of it's sequel nor rewatch the show lol funnily whenever i see it on some random channel airing i can't unglue my eyes of the screen.
