Lol poor Emnjay, I have a feeling this is how things are going to turn out. She has David help her see the future and try to change it and then butterfly effect happens and breaks up the group. She has to go through so much shit to get things back together and learns you have to let sleeping dogs lie and then happily ever after.

+ Show Spoiler + WTH IS WITH THE I SEE THE FUTURE THING ? idk what i feel about this .. Anyways Touko is amazingly misleading that she made the other guy confess her.. Anyways somebody is gonna get friend zoned really badly later. I have a feeling this will become a 4 way harem later with the megani girl looks like aiming for the Yuri angle. CONFESSION SCENE ![]() ![]() Until this day i still wait for the show were the girl will reply "i know." after a confession and not giving a fuck about it ignoring it for that matter. That would be so awesome. But this is acceptable . On July 11 2014 06:03 Emnjay808 wrote: Wtf Glasslip Dont do this to me. You fuck. I somehow get what the hell you feel. Yeah I mean I agree it's not the greatest.. they tried way too hard to make 12 dark and edgy with that smiling shit. Just worth giving a few more eps imo. Glasslip pretty meh, Rail wars dropped. P4G the Animation was actually pretty funny since they based the plot off a NG+ version of the game but pacing is still wonky. Probably just gonna end up watching Aldnoah, Illya, Tokyo Ghoul and Barakamon at this rate (still waiting on Tokyo ESP).

As per the usual mecha opening, they must first display how op it is, then introduce a skilled villain with an op suit who can beat/match the mc. The real question is how long it'll take them to do that. Answer: til episode 3. mc and femc both suck. At least some of the side chars still hold promise (assuming they don't trigger a bunch of death flags halfway through the show).

Haven't watched it yet but i heard that so far, the only thing they added was a monologue by makishima in the beginning. Other than that, pretty much the same So i think the first episode is skip-worthy

This one seems ok i guess. The story is something that's been played out before in many different forms of media...basically experimental super military children break out and take vengeance...is what im getting from it at least. First episode was just ok, wasn't up to the hype that i had been hearing...but i'll at least wait to see how good/bad this gets + Show Spoiler [Love Stage] + Terrible, just terrible. I'm giving this show 1 more episode, and if it's still as bad then dropping. But i highly suspect it'll be dropped. + Show Spoiler [Sabagebu] + This one was a big surprise. I lost it laughing a number of times especially at when Miou tricked her into signing the club join form. + Show Spoiler + Anyways, I always used to loooove playing laser tag and paintball so that part of the show is something i really like. Some cool guns in it so far too. I'm thinking this might actually end up being alongside Akame, Tokyo Ghoul, and SAO as my favorites for the season. As long as the rest of the series continues like the first one did that is.

At this point when I read scanlations I just translate it back to JP in my head, tends to make a lot more sense. Also just plain better in that I don't notice if it is English or Chinese o/ I do that too but then it's like why don't I just read the Japanese in the first place? So I do that instead.

Just watched the first 4 episodes of Bakemonogatari and I feel surprisingly bored by seems to receive a lot of praise. The first two episodes seemed to make a mockery of religion and relationships akin to that of Southpark, and the latter two episodes made a mockery of narcissism also akin that Southpark. I don't understand the purpose of the characters, or the show. The lyrics to the song in the out-tro make it seem like it's supposed to be a romance but the amount of romantic interaction between the characters after 4 episodes has been minimal. The episodes also fail to build on each other since the knowledge of what happened in the first two minimally affect understanding of the next two. The fitful animation is also unappealing since everything is presented so candidly through quite unequivocal speech; there is nothing to notice, so I found myself reading the subs more than I was watching the animation (which is usually just mouths' movements). I don't understand the purpose of the flickers since they mostly repeat a phrase or word that was recently spoken or thought. To me, so far, I would describe this show as mind-numbingly vapid Are the later episodes of bakemonogatari better than the first? I've read on various websites that it's supposed to be good because of wittiness/profundity/etc so I feel that meaning may also be lost in translation. Is there a specific sub/translation I should watch? Currently watching them here

Your description makes it pretty clear you don't "get it". That's okay I guess. Meaning is definitely lost in translation and a Nisio series will never ever translate well into English.

A lot of it, I imagine, but as a non-Japanese speaker I obviously can't speak too authoritatively on it. If you don't like it now, there's a good chance you won't like it later.

I don't understand japanese but if I compare that source from other sources , sometimes the translation looks unclear. True it's not your conventional anime. The art is weird and the conversation sometimes is so random but the show is actually very clever and the character interactions are actually really fun. At least that is the case for me. It's not focused on romance buddy. But if you didn't enjoy it during your first 4 episodes then you won't probably like it. it's your choice to drop the show.

+ Show Spoiler + I still have major doubts about how well this series translates into an animated medium, + Show Spoiler + because the main character is frustrating until he mans up and gets a personality and becomes a legitimately interesting main character. And until then i can only imagine how frustrating/unappealing the series will be in animated form for people with no idea where it's going, with the manga it's far easier to just tell people to read until after the Dove arc is over and then tell them to either drop it or continue reading if they like it or not. And at the current pacing speed we wont finish the dove arc until episode 10 or so. And for a series to not be grippping for the first 5-6 episodes is just not a good sign. Ontop of that they're changing a lot of things and making Rize appear as almost a 'ghost' haunting the main character is just a bit awkward
