I dunno about the manga/light novel but the anime seems good so far. I'm enjoying the story. The pace is pretty decent (thought it was slow at beginning but picked up now) and I can kinda see what they are aiming for. Give the first episode or two a try and see if its something you like

We're on irc and I don't mind more people though if it ends up being a lot more it would probably be difficult to get a time where everyone has time to watch at the same time...
We're usually watching Nanana and No Game No Life together, and maybe some other stuff if something's around and we feel like it, like Nisekoi.

Agree. I'll stop watching No Game No Life on my own to make sure we watch it together for the first time :3
If we really do have more people it might be best to just come up with a date for when to watch. It's fine with just the two of us and deciding on the go when to watch via irc because it's just us two but if there's more that's probably going to be difficult.
