Well thats the thing, seems like hes getting pushed to watch something just so he can have an opinion. No watch - no opinion everyone's life is better off. Not M enough to suffer through anything anymore, mostly because RL to stronk. I feel better off, took like a dozen years to figure that out but oh well. Sure it has plot, theres like this one empire in war against like another empire and this rare alient hunter dude with the pompadour is the key to victory. And thats Ecael's and Ragz's. I think maybe Kaze is joining or has joined that club? IDK. Everyone else watches it for the same reason they watch garbage like IS (and then pretend like they don't), thus my venom. Yeah, because IS has good dialogue... and likable characters... and fun. People don't watch monogatari for the same reason as IS (I don't know anyone who actively says to themselves, "I need to watch IS because it's just great"). Fast paced dialogue, decently developed characters, a main character who, while being Gary Stu, is not cringy to watch, great animation and a story good enough to be more or less ignored while wondering wtf at toothbrushes.

Girls and fan service. Mostly its just an empty claim of liking the dialogue, followed my a massive post about the girls. And the only Monogatari discussion here that I've ever seen that doesn't support this is when like Ecael is involved. And gasp, he speaks Japanese, so its understandable that he likes an anime that's dialogue is pretty much completely driven by Japanese word play that doesn't work in english! And lol "A story good enough to be ignored"

Oh, don't get me wrong, there isn't anything wrong with fanservice. I love fanservice. I often watch shows entirely for that purpose. I just don't pretend that those shows are anything more than what they actually are. Like you won't see me saying I watch Ikkitousen for the ROTK storyline or something lol

Like you won't see me saying I watch Ikkitousen for the ROTK storyline or something lol if that would be the case, shouldn't people like me who, according to you watch it for fanservice only, keep rewatching those fanceservice scenes in that case? If we're talking about rewatching single scenes, I think I've rewatched a crapton of stuff that I found hilarious and none of that was really fanservice related. I really liked the nadeko arcs in s2, so for example the epiloge, that intro (holy crap that was amazing) and the moment she goes batshit insane with Kaiki in Senjyougaharas last arc are all moments that I rewatched a ton. I found the openings in s2 really good in general so I kept watching them, like that intro to hachikuji's arc in s2 that has araragi and ougi, or especially the opening to nisemonogatari where araragi ends up being handcuffed and has that 5 minutes or whatnot "conversation" with Senjyogahara that ended up being absolutely amazing. That's the kind of stuff that I go back to and standalone-rewatch because I found those scenes great. That doesn't make a lot of sense if the reason for watching it in the first place is wanting to see is tits and asses. I mean that's certainly part of it but there's a reason people consider Nisemonogatari the worst out of the 3 (or 4 if you add Neko kuro) and if I wanted to rewatch one of the series, that is all of it and not just single scenes or episodes, Nisemonogatari would certainly be the least likely option to pick for me.

I could tell you what I like about the scenes in specific. nadeko epilogue: the troll was massive in that one. At first I wasn't sure if it's real or not and I kept laughing about it because of that nadeko's intro: The first couple of minutes were really beautiful. The "scenery" with her covering in there looked amazing and the end of that intro was probably one of the biggest "wtf, I have to know what happened" moments I had in anime nadeko batshit insane: Because of HanaKana's amazing scream when she gets told about the + Show Spoiler + Mangastuff hachikuji intro with ougi: She obviously gets portrayed as the evil person and it's the first time you really get to see her. I liked the music and the tension (not sure if that's the correct word) made it a really good watch for me. Senjyougahara intro in Nise: That conversation was one of the downright funniest conversations I've seen in a long time. Sure, the reason I rewatch it is because of something a girl does (and a boy/man as well) but that's bound to happen in a harem. It however isn't fanservice or titts and ass related at all, which was what you were arguing. So no, I'm not rewatching scenes for the girls.

For the girls. Why do they watch Monogatari? I'll let you answer that. Me giving an example of liking fanservice doesn't mean that I haven't been saying people watch Monogatari just for the girls and fanservice this entire time. edit: I see your edit. Pretty funny every reason you give about those parts you like is about the girls and their protrayal, and then edit in "I don't watch it for the girls".
