as much as Ayase was the only thing worth watching this for, having a "normal" ending would have made it way more lame. Ending was suffering but I wouldn't call it bad despite being creepy as hell lol

Problem though was that the end was pointless. What's that whole moratorium period for if they are just basically going out in the end of it all? Either ignore all logic and just say that they ended happily ever after or throw some hell in their way. Don't be halfassed about it. I think most of the complaints about lack of Ayase end is more like, lack of Ayase past that one early episode. Sasuga Hayamin, get her own vol cutted out ;;

I did expect a copout and thought that would have been way worse as well, like you said, so I was actually pleasantly (?) suprised to see it. Yeah I get that the ending still ended up being halfassed but come on, how often do you see shit like that. And yes I didn't get the "moratorium period" either, which is why I got in here to ask if it was just an implied bad end as that would make a lot more sense.

Except the author didn't stick with his guns on that and gave the character some wriggle room. Before long you have a second Kyosuke, another normal person who is kinda converted to being an otaku and spends more time trying to understand the subculture. At that iirc most of her attempts to learn started in S1. To be honest the only character who didn't end up being converted is like Manami. You don't, which is why it was such a shame that it had to end up being so half-assed. Even with the bad writing it was shaping up to be a fitting conclusion of the series. Then nope not gonna give conclusive end, just gonna pull some weird shit out of nowhere. Yeah screw that. Even the jump series that end up with the stupidest ends because they got cut have better ends than that.

I've found that a pretty good way to get someone to not like an anime is to constantly harass them to watch it. And also, pls, you are giving Bake too much credit here with "you will forget innuendos if you watch with two week breaks inbetween!" The show aired aired weekly, so I don't think watching it just a little bit more infrequently than that will make that much of a difference lol. ya, it would get annoying with too much "watch this or that" but I don't think they've reached that threshold yet lol. I don't think it'll be possible to forget the innuendos since I can always just reskim the one episode I watched so far lol so I guess I agree ![]()

At the very least Norin has managed to do exactly what I was looking for in a show of it's vein. The lame premise turns out to mean absolutely nothing and instead of some regular awful ecchi harem romcom, it manages to turn into some weird Baka Test/Gin no Saji/Moyashimon-ish fusion that lacks a lot of the bad elements of any of those. As much as a catastrophe as it sounds, the show forfeits plot and manages to have absolutely nothing happen while somehow still remaining to be entertaining with few boring/terrible moments. While the threat of (inevitably deplorable) plot development and MC-ization of the MC always loom on the horizon, the show thus far hasn't been awful if you don't mind all the sexualizations and dirty jokes (it's not nearly as bad/intrusive/just annoying here as it is in something like SYD), though because of that it's obviously not for everyone. It's not at all masterpiece or anything remotely close but it's definitely worth the watch for the laughs in my opinion. Norin doesn't take itself seriously in the slightest and that helps it out big time. I've watched two episodes of Hozuki so far and I like it a lot as well, but it seems like the type of show with episodes that are either on-point or just kinda boring. I'll probably catch up on it in the next few days regardless. How is Sekai Seifuku, or anything else this season for that matter? I'm watching Inari Konkon Koi Iroha and Seki kun, and was watching Noragami, but those aren't really doing much for me at this point. Buddy Complex looked watchable from what I've seen of it (admittedly not much), how's that? and yeah, that's my rant

A lot of its episodes are hit or miss, but the first three were quite good imo. It's just a wacky show that doesn't take itself too seriously, and I think the concept is kind of amusing. At the very least the main character slightly deviates from how one would normally portray a middle school Japanese student (and his jokes are kind of on point without being as loud and obnoxious as D-Frag MC), and I think his romantic interest is pretty cute. :3 A lot of the other characters actually get some kind of development and backstory strangely enough, which was a good surprise considering I was expecting zero. There's a hint of a plot in the upcoming episodes, which I'm wary of since the show's strong points is just in its random episodic style, but iono. Out of all the shows that are airing this season, Sekai Seifuku is really the only one I look forward to. tl;dr I just have a thing for lolis
